Great little restaurant on the water with a relaxing view. Food was ok, service a bit slow but a great place to enjoy the marina and harbor. Clean bathrooms and the employee in the office where we bought our t shirts was outstanding.

Have boat rides off of the pier where you can see dolphins and if your lucky a whale. Staff was efficient and restrooms were pristine. Lovely breezes off the ocean and light to moderate warm rains would come and go often that added a refreshing coolness in the mid-afternoon. Quite a pleasant exspirence. I dined at other venues also but... More

The restaurant looks over one of the nicest little marinas in town. It's one of the "places to be" in Golfito. I'm vegetarian, so not much to eat for me, but the menu is typical of this region and the food looks good. The servers can be rather surly and inattentive though.

But the staff was disinterested, the food was just ok, and the entire place looked deserted. We were planning to return for dinner but decided to pass.

Food was great! Service, don't be in a hurry. Prices are reasonable. Great views too of the harbor. Breakfast was delicious, eggs, pancakes, salads, all very tasty.

We stopped here traveling Southeast from Mexico to Panama in a 44' sailboat. Generally marinas on the route have relatively low levels of service. Banana Bay was different. They answer their phone and monitor ch 16 so they are easy to contact. Their prices are fair and they handled all entry/exit documentation for us. They even organized their diesel pump... More

This is our favorite place for breakfast. Serve yourself coffee from the bar, sit back and enjoy the view. The "typical" breakfast comes with gallo pinto (beans&rice) and corn tortillas. The fresh juices can't be beat - watermelon (sandia) is my pick.

Good food and service. Just about the best place in Golfito. Lovely dining room overlooking the marina. Pelicans everywhere!

This is a gathering place for boaters at Marina as well as cruisers anchored out. They serve good breakfast lunch and dinner. Have a great happy hour with best prices on margaritas and beers around. Each dish we tried was good, and they do have good fish. The prices are fair, but nothing I found in Costa Rica was inexpensive.... More
