Weary from walking in the heat,we stumbled into Karola's and were rewarded with an amazing staff, the best tuna steak I have ever had and an incredible view filled with eagles and toucans. We have since gone back every day for a meal and are never disappointed. Tucked away a few meters off the main road at Los Altos hotel, you'll... More

Stopped by for a quick lunch. Wife had tuna, I had rice salad. Waiter was prompt, polite and kind. Made sure his recommendation was good by ensuring the chef had fresh tuna, and encouraged us to walk the grounds. Apparently monkeys frequent the place but we were let down....damn nature ;)

Good service, great food. Fresh fish dishes - had the coconut sauce fish - to die for! We had a cheese cake for dessert and it was yummy! Waiter was very nice, spoke great English and was patient with my grandson who tried to order in Spanish. Lovely view of ocean and tropical forest.

This restaurant is beautiful. A tranquil, spacious, open air atmosphere is a nice change from the loud, cramped and packed cafes and bars on the main road. There is a view of the pool, jungle and ocean bellow. There is a well put together menu with just enough variety. I had a tuna steak. I’m picky about it being seared... More

This restaurant is at Los Altos hotel, the hotel where we stayed. We ate here the first night and were happy with food and service. I was pleasantly surprised by the creative presentation and flavorful tuna tartare and ceviche. To be honest, I don't remember the two other dishes .. oops

We stumbled upon this place during a power outage which caused most other restaurants in the area to close. My husband had a chicken wrap which he said was excellent. I had a caprese salad with a Costa Rican twist. It was good enough but nothing to rave about. Our server was good but struggled with English. Atmosphere is nice... More

Stopped in the restaurant for coffee and desert. Beautiful views of hotel gardens from the restaurant. Strawberry cheesecake and Key Lime Pie were some of the best. The service was great!
