El Avión (The Airplane) is one of the more popular tourist "attractions" in Manuel Antonio... a theme (aviation) restaurant that contains a really cool small bar inside of a C-123 fuselage. The food is decent, but nothing special. There is not much here that is authentic Costa Rican, so don't expect that. The prices are high, but it's unfair to... More

Food was okay but nothing special, atmosphere inside the plane looks great for a drink but the night we went for supper the main restaurant was very draughty because there was a storm outside.

My boyfriend and I ate here thinking it would be a cool stop for dinner since the atmosphere was really awesome. We started with fried calamari, which was average, nothing to write home about. Then my boyfriend tried the seafood curry, as most people recommended here on TripAdvisor, it was not good at all. It was basically soup with tons... More

Great view, good atmosphere, good food, good staff. It's got it all! We even saw a sloth in one of the trees down the hill. While sunset did not cooperate the night we were there it was worth the trip from Uvita! My only reason for not giving it a 5 was that the drinks were really weak.

Try the veggie curry ! So good ! I had it with quinoa instead of my rice and enjoyed every single bit. It was so big i had two meals out of it. A bit pricey but the meal was so fresh and tasty. Real ingredients made with so much care. Great atmosphere and even more amazing staff. 10/10

We had our 1st dinner here...The prices were fine and the food was well cooked. The best part was the the views and drinks. I also like to state that the service was great and fast which is uncommon in Costa rica.

The restaurant is a novelty but worth a visit to say you've been. Beautiful views and great service! Milkshakes are delicious but unfortunately food is nothing special.

3 of our group had the curry seafood. Squid, shrimp, mussels and who knows what else. Tender and delicious! Wow!

The views from this unique restaurant (a remnant of the Iran/Contra affair) are spectacular- try to be there at sunset! Plates are generous but not terribly exciting.
