While in Quepos, try eating at a Soda. It is a smaller restaurant with a smaller menu, but traditional Costa Rican food.

Soda Sanchez is a few blocks from the water, on Avenida Central, in Quepos. Not far from the bus terminal. While the street outside the restaurant is busy, parking was not hard to find. The ladies serving were very accommodating--friendly and professional. Because the restaurant itself is small (three or four tables) there were no tables available inside for our... More

Great little spot for dinner if you are looking for a quick, cheap eat. The food came out minutes after we ordered.

Terrific local's spot. Recommended by our tour guide, easy to find in the middle of Quepos. English menu available. Breakfast served most of the day (at least, at lunchtime while we were there). I had a casado de pescado - the local Costa Rican style lunch plate with a grilled tilapia fillet, rice, beans, a small green salad, a couple... More

Lunch here last week, and for under $5 you get plenty! Typical Costa Rican fare. A block away from the bus station on the main drag.

We were looking for an authentic Soda where to eat for a reasonable price and this was it. Very good local cuisine, local staff and also local clients. Very nice Casado and friendly atmosphere. There were only four tables; althought a lot of people come for the take-away service you may wait a little bit if the tables are all... More

Great food, get the gallo pinto! Delicious juices and shakes. They are open early and always have people there. Across from "Gollo." They have wi-if, and takes cards as well. We went twice!

I ordered the typical dish of chicken, rice, beans, and salad. For the price you got quite a bit of food and it was tasty.

Soda Sánchez is a super popular local eatery not far from the bus terminal. I was lucky to get a table right away, but while I was there, customers (mostly young tourists) were steadily filling up the small space, and soon there were lineups at the entrance. The food was tasty and reasonably priced for Quepos. I had the seafood... More

Good small soda serving traditional food, with friendly staff just a couple of minutes walk from the bus station, reasonable prices and good size portions, well worth a visit.
