This restaurant was recommended to us by an Argentinian friend, who found it to be very authentic in food and decor. We went on my birthday, and when they learned this they produced a cake at the end of the meal and sang Feliz Compleanos. The food was really outstanding and the atmosphere was great. Very professional service.

Must eat here when in San Jose. Close to Hotel Presidente, about 4 blocks to the North. Great food, great service and reasonable prices. Suggest reservations because there can be a wait. Locals favorite and many tourists.

we had no reservation - stopped in for early dinner on a Sunday night. While red meat is the feature, we chose a range of items from a smoked marlin appetizer to a flaming dessert. Nice ambiance, wines were excellent, service friendly and helpful. Costa Rican food is fairly bland by US standards - this spot was great treat for... More

Liked the cleanliness of the restaurant and friendliness of staff. The menu has great variety and the food is delicious. The wait is not bad and when we were there it wasn't very crowded.

Went on a friday night for a romantic dinner. There were only three couples in the place. Excellebnt service. Sangría not available, mate cold tea not available. Took around 45 minuts to get the order: grilled chicken breast was uncooked which is dangerous for the salmonella and the "churrasquitos" on wine sauce was super wine strong which killed the other... We came in for lunch and half the menu wasn't available. We ordered a Capresse Salad which came with who knows what cheese but not Mozzarela. A Lomito that was not so and we are still waiting for some water. Sad because the place is rather nicely done.

I have been coming to San Jose for years. Each time I eat at this restaurant I am really impressed with the great Argentinian food. I've also dined in Argentina several times and have a good idea of Argentinian food. This time I went with a friend and we ordered stakes as well as sweetbreads and blood sausage. We also... More

We were lured in by the attractive ambiance, but should have taken the fact that there was only one other couple seated as a warning. Ordered their signature dish - Parilla Argentina - supposedly a panoply of five cuts of meat. What were served was (partly) reheated leftovers. There was not even a pretense of having freshly prepared our food.... More
