This is an excellent place to eat any meal of the day, but realize you pay for what you get so not inexpensive but worth it.

The restaurant is set out around the hotel’s central courtyard and is very impressive. Staff were wonderful and the menu was equally good. Food on offer was mostly cosmopolitan, but did include Costa Rican specialities and we had a jolly good meal. Can’t remember too...More

I ate dinner here while staying in the hotel. I had a table in the courtyard which was pleasant and slightly less formal than the main restaurant. The decor and furnishings are very traditional so the service matches this by being quite formal and offhand....More

Met my cousin and her husband here for a reunion in early Jan 2019. We spent all afternoon on the patio savouring a dining experience which is world class. Owners have gone above and beyond to create an unrivalled ambiance and cuisine. Highly recommend.

A major reason to go here is to see the beautiful dining room. We had the country pate, veal shoulder and lamb shank. All were good and the portions large. Service was as expected for this level of restaurant I.e. pleasant, attentive and efficient.

Costa Rica is a very informal place. He will not need a jacket but I would not go there in shorts during dinner. But otherwise no one will bother you if you wear jeans or other informal wear.
