I often try to go there but it's so crowed I could not even park. Finally I made it and ordered an omelette, wow. I lived in Paris, and this was an authentic French omelette, delicious and moist, rich and fluffy, nothing like you get in any restaurant in Costa Rica. I can't wait to try other things there.

Went to Chez Christophe for the second and last time this morning.Once again i ordered the Eggs Benedict( Florentine this time). Once again out came two small, overcooked eggs(even though i had reminded the waiter to request soft eggs), sitting on nothing that resembled a flat English muffin, just a small and thick piece of tasteless white bread muffin which... French informal cafe with very good patisseries and "petits dejeuners". Well located place in an upscale suburb in San Jose (Escazu). Managed by a nice French couple. Rustic tables and chairs yet a classy environment. The price leans a little bit on the expensive side but the experience is very good. If you are going there in the afternoon, especially... More

The restaurant itself is nothing to write home about, but the food is delicious and very well presented. Servers are very courteous and the attention prompt. Great for lunch, will have to visit soon for breakfast or brunch because the menu was very inviting. Mid-range prices but well worth it. The parking space is reduced, but there is a parking... More

Chef Christophe brought some French flavour to Escazu! Petit four, little cakes and lots of other French flavours are here. But not only sweets, hearty meals like croque monsieur, croissants or even a slice of perfectly cooked meat is on the menu. Have a look at their FB page and you know what I am talking about. Worthwhile your time... More

The place is very regular, they need a bigger parking lot and even a bigger place! It is that good, that most of the time is almost full of people! The coffee, in my opinion was good, but not impressive. But all the desserts, breads and bakery..wow, is just perfect! Full of taste, very well done. Cant say anything to... More

Although the place was packed, we were seated promptly and with a smile. Very good service and very good food. Will return.

I have visited this restaurant a handful of times now for lunch. I always get the same order, and the lunch waiters already know this! Lunch is delicious, it's not too big and not too small, hits just the spot. But the best part...the decadent little cakes! I have to pace myself each time I go because they are so... More
