The Mooring was one of our favorite spots to eat, so on our third trip to Rarotonga we had to visit once again. The sandwiches are of good size and absolutely fresh/delicious on Turkish bread. The scenery is pretty decent as well, as you are...overlooking the Muri lagoon. Great staff and relaxed atmosphere with outdoor seating, I will definitely return on my next visit again! Please indicate if you found this review to be helpful as it will help me better focus my efforts in the future once travel resumes once again. Stay safe and take care!More

The best spicy tuna tacos yum. Can’t wait until the cafe is open again. Jill and her team are taking really good care of their guest and everything is so fresh and taste delicious.

Stopped her for lunch and order the FOB which was fresh, tasty and a good size - all of which I expect for a $15.00 sandwich. I also ordered the hot chips at $5.00 and was really disappointed in the portion size - was about...half the portion I expected. Overall, enjoyed the food and might go back.More

This was my second visit to Rarotonga and I could hardly wait to get back for another fish sandwich. I was not disappointed it was just as delicious as I remembered from nearly 4 years ago. The views are stunning and the staff so friendly...it is hard to leave. Loved the music too all favorite songs from the past I just had to sing along.More

This place is only open till 3:30 in the afternoon but believe me when l say their Fish sandwich is the best on the island. All their fish dishes use Mahi Mahi not the cheaper/tougher Marlin. Had the sandwich and the fish and chips, not...a fan of their chips, they are those thin type. The nachos looked good and all meals under $15. Recomended. Staff were friendly and helpfull.More

Staff so friendly it was like a family, and lovely, relaxed tmosphere by the beach. Now, I'm not much of a seafood fan but when I saw a FOB being brought to another table, I had to try! The most delicious fish sandwich you could...dream of.....such fresh fish and bread, and perfect lime sauce to top it off. We returned for more visits a few times! Cost was $15nzd per sandwich. You absolutely must eat here!!More

This cafe, right by the slipway in Muri offers basic locally caught seafood and non-alcoholic drinks. We had dropped in for a drink, but ended up sharing a plate of fried fish of the day as well, which was delicious. Great food, great atmosphere, friendly...staff – what more does one need? You are welcome to take your own wine or beer if you wish. We returned with family a few days later and had an equally enjoyable meal. The hostess is an entertaining delight.More

I had read about this place so we came here on the first day of our trip. They really do have some of the best quality fish on the island. It’s in-expensive and we walked away full. After eating at several other restaurants, we still...had Moorings sandwiches on our mind, we went back for a second time. It’s so dang good! I’m still thinking about those sandwiches!More

Hi MurphyNZ, Try contacting the restaurant directly. Remember though that Mooring always closes at 3pm, even on the days they are open.

Honestly, mate, I eat everything, so gluten-free isn't a concern of mine. I'd check out their menu online. Hopefully you're headed to the lovely Cook Islands, soon.

Hi there - it is on the opposite side of the island - so about 20 minutes on the bus or about 15 in a car. Too far to walk.
