The staff was exceptionally friendly, the food fresh and good, and the location was great. I can't speak highly enough of this dining experience. In our short trip we managed to eat there twice. Once, when not raining, we sat outside and could watch the activities on the waterfront, which was fun.

Service was great and fast. Their sushi was delicious but their yakisoba noodles were way too salty with too much soy sauce added. Otherwise it was a good experience. Stick with their sushi.

This restaurant was recommended - delicious sushi. Soft shelled crab sushi, shrimp chowder, tempura fish basket of salmon & halibut, dynamite roll. Black cod marinated in miso - outstanding!

Powerhouse is good and very good according to Kodiak standards. It's a great restaurant to overlook the water and watch the ferry pull in, bald eagles, seals playing in the water and maybe even whales. The sushi is pretty good it's not knock your socks off amazing and is a bit pricey. Service is always pretty good and the place... More

We went here for a nice lunch. Great sushi including a wonderful soft shell crab roll. The fish bento box was excellent as well. Be aware they are closed from 2-5 so timing is important! We are going back tomorrow for dinner.

We stopped by for Dinner and drinks at the Old Powerhouse and were happy with our choice. Very friendly staff and fine fusion food and drinks in a very nice setting.

This is a Japanese restaurant and gets its name because it is located opposite a powerhouse. It is a bit of a walk if you don't have a car, but well worth it if you like Japanese food. Our group of 10 were seated in what is obviously a room reserved for large groups. The group all declared the food... More

Nice Japanese restaurant located in an old power building on the wharf in downtown Kodiak. Reasonably priced and delicious food. A bit of a wait even during the week. There are not many upscale restaurants in Kodiak and this one is worth visiting.

We had a great evening meal on the patio overlooking the water. Eagles flew by and working boats and sea lions cruised by as we sipped local draft beer and waited for our meal. The meal was worth the wait Every thing looked good and our two entries were very good.

Called for window table and they held 10 minutes for us. Halibut appetizer was DELICIOUS! Halibut panko and chips were EXCELLENT! The spicy seafood Udon Noodle soup had every kind of seafood and was not too spicy (the waitress brought Japanese chili powder if I needed more kick). Service was VERY GOOD. Restaurant was clean. This is a fun place... More
