The best sushi I have ever had! Very good service and very good views. The eagles love this place. They line up on the rails.

It is difficult to find good Japanese food in Alaska. Do not know why since it has the worlds best fish and seafood. Apparently there was a small Japanese presence in Kodiak. This was a family operation, I am not sure it is anymore. My wife and I like hot soba and that is fairly hard to find anywhere. Every... More

The restaurant has changed its name to Hana recently. The location, service and food are great. This is probably one of the best places for seafood in the USA. On the other hand, however, the prices are on the expensive side, probably more than appropriate.

I've been there on 5 separate occasions and every time there is an issue. The only thing that is consistent is the service. It is horrible. If you do manage to flag down your server you get the old "why are you bothering me attitude". When you do finally get your food it is mediocre at best. I've had rotten... More

Had a chicken rice teriyaki. Got it to go. It was so dry I couldn't eat it. Not pleased salad. Was just cut up lettuce and dressing. That's it. Plain Jane

Harbor/water views all around creates a pleasant atmosphere. Our server was informative, patient, and punctual. I ordered the Sushi & Sashimi (raw) Combo $24.50; wife ordered the Sushi $18.00. They serve draft beer from the microbrewery in Kodiak, 16oz draft $6.50. We enjoyed our meals and will return before we leave Kodiak.

We set up a meeting for the Old Powerhouse Restaurant in Kodiak. When I arrived I discovered the name was changed to the Kodiak Hana Restaurant. Google Kodiak Hana and you will find it and about the name change. Food and service still very good. Highly recommended for Asian style food. W mostly all had the various lunch boxes and... More

The staff was exceptionally friendly, the food fresh and good, and the location was great. I can't speak highly enough of this dining experience. In our short trip we managed to eat there twice. Once, when not raining, we sat outside and could watch the activities on the waterfront, which was fun.

Service was great and fast. Their sushi was delicious but their yakisoba noodles were way too salty with too much soy sauce added. Otherwise it was a good experience. Stick with their sushi.

This restaurant was recommended - delicious sushi. Soft shelled crab sushi, shrimp chowder, tempura fish basket of salmon & halibut, dynamite roll. Black cod marinated in miso - outstanding!
