My wife and I were strolling around Avila and were keen to find an authentic place for tapas. Boy!did we land on our feet. The bar was full of locals eating and the menu served up classic Spanish dishes. We had our beers and were treated to complimentary pickings. The 'judias' and 'huevos rotas' were excellent as was the ribeiro... More

We popped in around noon on Sunday. Ordered two beers, were given two tapas for free and ordered racion of patatas revolconas (mashed potatoes with paprica and chunks of fried meat). Tapas were Padron peppers and pieces of fried cod. All good and costed 11 euros which is good value for money. Bar is conveniently located in one of the... More

Amazing for taking some tapas with the drinks, but recently we sat down for lunch too, which was a very nice discovery. Every tapa is so tasty (revolconas, morro...), and the dish of chuletón is a wonderful choice! I'd also recommend the semi-sweet white wine. Casa Guillermo is an obliged stop at Ávila.

Set in the corner of the main plaza this little gem serves a variety of free tapas and four would count as a meal. Highly recommended.

We had the advice from our hotel to go to either this place or another one.Luckily for us, we ended up in the gorgeous plaza in Casa Guillermo, just to realise they serve hearty tapas and wine the way Andalusians do. And man we loved it! The atmosphere is all about meat, and bullfighting, and hunting and Avila. The food can be... More

Located in the center of the old town. The food was ok, but rather expensive (especially in comparison with Madrid). Quite noisy and lack of proper ventilation, making your clothes smelling like food for the rest of the day.
