The Indian Punjab restaurant is a great place to go if you are on a budget. I've not had a bad meal there at all. Their only downfall is that if busy they can be a bit slow. It's a BYO as well.

I rang asking where the chicken was? X1 Garlic nan bread...wheres the garlic? $21 for takeaway for one, which mainly consisted of a horrible liquid isnt my impression of... More

Arriving late in Timaru meant little in the way of choice. So Punjab was chosen because it was open. The entree we had was the platter, it was great. The onion relish was especially good. The mains were less impressive. The butter chicken was decidedly average and the Tikka was equally mediocre. The garlic naan was good. Service was okay,... More

Brought takeaways here for the family. Cannot say anything bad about the selection of curries we got. One was super hot burn your bum off but overnight no problems. Even as I write this things are still good. I'd come back for more.

A group of 4 of us had dinner here tonight. We have eaten Indian in many restaurants in many countries and this is up there with the best of them. The food is delicious. One of our group said it was the best peshwari naan she'd ever had. The servings were a good size so you won't leave hungry. The... More

Been here many times. The decor really needs updating and is often cold during the winter months but the food makes up for it. The takeaway banquet is amazing - Eftpos available upon delivery

Lovely little restaurant, decor etc Music in background all make it an awesome restaurant. Staff are very friendly, food is delicious and they make the best Garlic Naan around. The starters are excellent, try the vegetable pakora's if you haven't tried them before, awesome little dipping sauces provided. Great for family events or just quiet intimate dining. Value for money... More

Lovely Indian meal as always. We had the mixed pakora plate between the three of us and we all agreed we we could eat a whole plate of the chicken pakora (: The staff were also friendly and we couldn't ask for more
