Assuming they are talking about the little concession at the end of the road which sells weird and quirky nic-naks, this place is really fun. The t-shirts seem to be a bit of a cult collectors item, and there are also some nice native gifts to buy. It is a complete surprise at the end of the road, and we... More

Discovered the Mexican Moose by accident when passing through Talkeetna, Alaska. The Family run business has added Micro Cabins to their offerings. These small cabins were extremely comfortable and affordable. Free Smore kits on each extremely comfortable bed. The roasted nuts are awesome.

Each of us purchased a small bag of roasted cinnamon nuts (almonds, pecans) after a free sample. Each bag was $5. We didn't quite realize how amazing these nuts were on the palate. When we returned to Talkeetna, we raced to the nut stand and thankfully they were still open! We purchased about $30 worth - not available online folks!... More

Got the nuts from the stand when we passed by on our way to look at the river. Didn't eat them right away, but saved them for later. Great snack to snack on while riding along the ole Park highway.

This charming outdoor shop is located at the very end of Main Street right at the start of the trails by the river. The owners sell t-shirts & the other knick knack type souvenirs. The children are well mannered & eager to help. Grab a bag of their roasted pecans to snack on while you explore by the river. They... More
