I recently moved to this area and heard Verde Lea was very good, so I went there in the afternoon. I was a little turned off by the 25 or so pre-made sandwiches on display, as I had thought everything was prepared to order. But apparently not everything. Wanting something made fresh, I ordered a cheese steak. The two men... More

This market is really a to go counter and convenience store. You had a choice between Mexican and American food. I had a burrito in their homemade tortilla delicious. I am a vegetarian and the cook made it special for me. The reason I didn't give them a high score is my husband was not happy with his tacos, he... More

We wanted to try something different while we were Christmas shopping in Cottonwood. We looked up and found this place. We never would have gone there without reading the reviews. We loved the Tortas. We ordered a beef one first and split it and it was so good, we ordered a chicken one and a bag of chips and pico... More

After reading all the positive reviews, I assumed this place would be something special. The "Oriental" chicken salad was topped with dry, cold, several days-old chicken pieces. Could chip a tooth biting into those puppies. Server replaced my portion with fresh-grilled chicken. My companion's roast beef sandwich was rare, moist and flavorful--albeit a bit small for the price. Not sure... More

The food is very good and we will definitely eat there again. It is convenience store, but not in the traditional sense and while the ambience is not a factor, for a good, quick meal, it is worth it. Many dishes have the home made flavor to them.

Really great tortas and salsa bar. We ate here twice while we were in the area. The ambience is minimal but the friendliness of the staff and the food make up for any lack in the decor department. All the food was good but we returned for the tortas.

When in Cottonwood the Verde Lea is pretty much the only place I eat, the place never disappoints. On this trip I ate here a total of 3 times, starting with the Indian fry bread taco. It was killer, all made fresh and filling too. To mix it up and live on the edge, I had a side of French... More

Delicious food, great hand cut fries, can't wait to go back. The torta was to die for. The owner was super friendly, pleased to meet him.

Went in based on reviews and we were not disappointed. Torts were good, green salsa was fantastic, fries were tasty, made to order. A unique place, will be back.

Thank Matt M
