Nicely decorated for the era (Route 66 theme) there was a nice vibe in this diner. The food was however average.

We stopped after reading reviews on trip advisors and were extremely disappointed. Only think hot was the plate. Food was reheated in a microwave. Couldn't find the tamales under all the sauce and melted cheese and once found they were cold and tasteless. The ground beef in the tacos were dry and cold. Honestly only thing good was the water.... Had dinner here on a Monday night. It was not too busy and we were seated right away. I ordered a combination plate with enchilada and taco. My dinner guest had the nachos supreme. The chips and salsa came with our beers, but we did have to ask more than once for water. The servers were nice (we had two... More

First time I had Chorizo and eggs. So delicious, I almost licked my plate. The second time I have the cheese enchilada breakfast. Exceptional! The staff were very helpful and friendly.

We stopped as we were on our route 66 tour and this diner ticks the boxes for authenticity. With that in mind we had not too high expectations for food and were therefore not disappointed as the food was fine but not special. The food was simple but generally honest. My main was chicken fried steak with mash potatoes and... More

I came here two nights for dinner on my trip. I was impressed by the food AND service. I had a really sweet waitress, she had lots of recommendations. I had a combo plate the 1st time. The salsa with the chips is great: spicy and delicious. I'd love their recipe. The taco was crisp, the tamale and enchilada fresh.... More

Step back in time, enjoy the sweetest people in the state. The waitress and owner are happy to talk about the orginal owners and how the little cafe inspired the Disney movie, Cars. The art and rocks for sale are a little hidden by all the things at the front counter. The refried beans, red and green chilli are homemade... More

Courteous service with a smile with great menu selections including traditional dishes to the area. A small gift shop area with nice selection as well. They also feature artifacts from the area to give you a small idea of area. We also met the owners who are featured in the Cars movie characterization of the area. NEAT! They also gave... More

We tried this place because the reviews were good. The service was pretty good. First let me say I'm from Louisiana and I didn't enjoy the food up west at many places. I'm use to a lot of flavor. I'm also use to Tex mex. The food was edible but not enjoyable. The chips for the salsa was extremely spicy... More

Not impressed. I had the green chili burrito. Wife had ground beef deep fried burrito. Was charged $5 for a spoonful of sour cream [frozen by the way] and a spoonful of guacamole. They green chili had a good flavor. No meat no beans. So very lacking in substance. Wife fried burrito was blah. And grease was old. Chips and... More
