This is just okay. It is a decent market but there are better markets in other areas, like the Rosebank Roof Top market on Sundays.

Worth the visit to experience the flavours and authenticity of what Johannesburg is all about. We had a great day out. Thanks to a local family member willing to take us there. Thank you Jason.

We used to visit the flea market frequently for a number of reasons. Good byes, great kiddies fun plat area and an opportunity to explore diverse mostly pan African Shopping makets. The new space does not work. Its like a Chinese low end mall and just no longer works, Not sure where the African traders went to

I needed a new suitcase for my upcoming visit to the UK. The old one finally died. I went to the Bruma Lake flea market and found several vendors. The one that impressed me most was a chap who jumped up and down with great vigour on his wares proving their strength and robustness. I went for one of his... More

Bruma Lake flea market no longer exists. It has been replaced by Chinese shopping malls full fo goods of questionable quality

I had visited the Bruma Markets many times during previous visits to Johannesburg. I had found the stalls interesting, even eclectic, and offering a wide array of crafts and products. This weekend I discovered that the market had moved from its original location to a new building bordering Bruma Lake (or the construction site where the lake once was). The... More

Mostly, you'll find a lot of fake brands and silly trinkets. Not really worth a visit, even for a casual walk-around. It feels as though a bunch of random people were looking for a mall-like location where they could unfold their tables and start selling tacky fountains with yellow and green lights. Some of the sellers don't even speak English.... More

Definitely not worth a visit. Seedy and run down, car park area overgrown with weeds, cheap Chinese junk everywhere for sale. Multiple stalls and shops selling the same stuff at the same price. A run-down, down-town place. Give it a skip. If you want to experience a well managed market, like somebody else said here, visit the one in the... More

Not for me. Prefer a market with handmade items. This is a market that sells every bit and bob that comes from China. No thank you

More of a shopping centre than an actual flea market selling mass marketted goods. i do not recommend this for tourists . Rather go to the Rosebank flea market on Sundays.
