Went with high hopes but was sadly disappointed. The service was fine but the food was bland and no flavour or presentation. It was mostly lettuce. The Chicken salad looked like gray mince meat with a blandness I was not aware could be achieved. Not again

I arrived at Monte Casino early and went to the restaurant early to make an appointment for the evening. On arriving at the restaurant there was no one present although all doors were open. after 10min or so a person from the message place next door pitched up, he did not introduce himself but said he could make the booking.... Great new location in Monte Casino. Ordered 2 x Tom Yum Goong soup, spring rolls and Phad Thai Prawn for two. What a tastes and what a value!!!! Some water and some dry white wine and a total costs of R440 for two. Not yet €30. Excellent service

This is the first time I visited here, but I wanted Thai food, so I went. I love crispy duck as well, but what was my disgust when I got a tasteless mix of vegetables and duck a la king - if such a dish even exists. The spring rolls were also tasteless and needed ample additions of sweet chilli... More

We had not visited for a while and the restaurant has moved to diagonally opposite the Pieter Toerien Theatre. The decor is warm and inviting and the service is good. The food is flavouful and the portions are generous. A most enjoyable dinner.

This location of Kai Thai satisfies that craving for Thai food at a reasonable price. Good value for money. Not high end food, but satisfying food.

Had lunch here after visiting the Terracotta army exhibition at Silverstar casino. Seems to be the only place offering an alternative to steaks and grills. We sat outside overlooking the fountains which provided a nice backdrop. The food is tasty and there is a fairly extensive wine list. I was a bit disappointed that my pork was quite fatty and... Food are overcooked and not authentic to be passed off as Thai food. While I do not expect it to be close to real Thai food...but it got to represent some level of Siam-ness... Crispy pork dishes were all overcooked. Padthai came in noodle and not flat rice noodle as it was supposed to be. Mango Sticky rice were not... More
