If it's good food and atmosphere you want this is a must... The old Boere Memoribilia are fantastic. Service is good and food above average.

Dishes were disappointing and lacked inspiration and taste. The service was terrible and the prices just not justified.

So we decided to go and give Bistro't Boergeoisie a try, having heard good things about it. We unfortunately chose a Saturday afternoon to do so. Now Saturdays are somewhat of a nightmare at Greenlyn Village, due to the flea market that it hosts. Parking is impossible to find, and all the other restaurants in the complex were bursting at... The restaurant is full of old trinkets and artifacts from days gone by. The food is well worth the money - and is still old school. Loved the pie for dinner. Kids menu also good, and has elements of the old school food.

Very nice place, lekker ambiance and good prepared food. Good "Ossewa Kos" prepared and cook the old way. Restaurant decorations give you many to talk about.

Having been there before, our family was looking forward to a good Sunday lunch. we arrived at 13h00, our food eventually arrived at 14h15, missing one person's order. Fillet was well over cooked after ordering medium, and also served in a huge chunk. Veggie order was not available, lumpy white sauce on a chicken dish smothered the dish and any... More

The menu at Boer'Geoisie include traditional Afrikaner meals but unfortunately the spread is not a bread as similar restaurants did in the last (e.g. Leipotldt's in the late 90's in Johannesburg) did. None the less - the food is excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and I had some food that I last enjoyed 40 years ago at my grandmother's... More

If you grew up with an Afrikaans mom who like to cook traditionally (and you liked it) - then this place is for you. They have everything from tripe (afval), oxtail, stews etc. that your mom made - with sides such as samp (stampmielies) and desserts like dumplings (souskluitjies). I loved eating here. Their portions are very big and the... More
