We had dinner at the coffee shop. The menu is quite limited and not that inviting. But they have a special meals. Their special for the evening were lamb curry, boerewors stew with tomatoes, and beef stir fry. We had the curry and the beef stir fry. Stir fry was actually nice but the curry rather plain. Food is fairly... More

The coffee shop is well placed in the city centre close to museums, theatres and shops. The staff are very welcoming and efficient. The menu includes a selection of long cold refreshing fruit drinks and the cakes are indulgent.

We use to frequent this place after shows at the playhouse and on Saturday evenings -when service delivery and ambience were the cornerstone of this grand hotel .Of recent , I can't say the same -I have been unimpressed .

Super decor, but dreadful service. Had to seek out a waitress and then seek out the coffee order 25 minutes later only to be told "I will do it just now". Not acceptable

The food was cold but eatable and good priced.. The coffee was really nice and that was the main reason i went cause the smell when you pass by was nice. The service is slow and be careful with your change from waiters as i had to ask for the correct change.

We were staying in the hotel and the coffee shop was not only convenient but the staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. Suggestion might be the management should swop them with the hotel reception staff who were far more restrained in their attitude.

It was Sunday and I was taken to the bar to eat lunch. The hotel had other functions going on in the dining rooms. The sandwich was quite good and service was prompt. The hotel did there best to accommodate me

Seems to be popular with the locals. The food took quite a long time to come and I was surprised at how much of it there was. Very nice. Coffee and biscuits were good too.
