Myself and my wife visited the Raj during our Honeymoon stay and we were blown away by both the food and the service. Fabulously tasty - and she has eaten in India herself. A visit here will not disappoint and you will still be licking your lips afterwards.

This was recommended by the staff at our hotel and it did not disappoint, absolutely beautiful food and wine, I highly recommend the butter chicken or chicken Karai, both lovely!

Hard to even know where to start.... ok I'll try, we may be spoilt in the UK with the high quality of Indian restaurants and dare I say takeaways even! But my god this place isn't even as good as the ping meals from the supermarket.... Starters I had the saltiest chicken (so called) tikka with salty mint sauce, couldn't... More

There are a lot of outstanding restaurant venues in the Cape Town area, what a shame therefore that we wasted an evening visiting the Raj, On a quality versus cost criteria this place fails miserably. 'Prawns' served in the prawn curry dishes would be best described as shrimps, whilst the Chicken Korma is totally devoid of flavour. An extra charge... More

The raj is always a favourite for Indian food when we visit Cape Town, and the food and service is of a high standard. We were there on Friday 21st April for an early supper. My husband had the chicken vindaloo which is hot, I mean really hot, not for the faint hearted. He really enjoyed it. I had the... More

This is an Indian cuisine establishment. I ate there thrice. The food is good. Waiters are friendly. Nothing different from any previous experience at an Indian Cuisine restaurant.

The curry is great the sides and breads are fantastic it's just the chicken that let this place down, rubbery dry and old tasting which is a real shame as everything else was lovely I had tandoori lamb chops to start chicken vindaloo sag aloo and Safron rice with chilli and garlic naan Shame about the chicken, two dishes were... We ate lunch here. It has a nice selection of vegitarian dishes and the food was excellent. It was cheaper than we expected considering the location on the beach front. The staff were friendly and attentive. We enjoyed our lunch here very much.

I took my wife and mother in law for dinner. Never an easy thing. But the excellent food and lovely vibe made even my mom in law fun to be with. Truly exceptional flavours. Yummy.

Wasn't sure about having Indian in camps. Bay but after 6 weeks there decided to give it a try & was surprised how good it was. Visited 5 times in 2 weeks one of best Indian restaurants I've eaten in
