We first went to the Bombay Bicycle Club 2 years ago when we holidayed in Cape Town. It was full, fun, quirky and had very good food which is why we returned recently with a friend when on holiday in Cape Town for the second...More

We had a great meal with great service tonight, however we were told that we couldn't get a glass of tap water because of the drought. This is completely illegal, as any restaurant that has a liquor license is obliged to provide patrons with free...More

There are a lot of things about Bombay Bicycle Club that made me want to love it--it's unique, weird, fun, loud, exciting, a great atmosphere. However, past that, we were a bit disappointed with this place. Our waitress was very pretentious and rude when we...More

Fantastic steaks and great atmosphere - a must when in cape town. Definately book in advance. A warm welcome was given. The pork ribs were amazing and the chocolate steak was the best in SA

Loved the ambiance, the service was efficient. The food was really enjoyable as well. Dining here is more than just having delicious food, it's an enjoyable experience, and if you run out of conversation with your dining companion, there's always a lot to look at...More

This is a good little bar, sitting is limited so don’t expect to find a seat easily to have your beer/cocktail. The waiting staff are, not rude, but not professional, a group of guys looking for a good time, this can annoy some, or like...More

This restaurant was fairly highly reviewed but the experience didn’t live up to our expectations. The wait staff seemed distracted and it took about half an hour for the beer we had ordered to arrive. Apparently the bar was busy (the restaurant was half empty...More

Visited based on recommendation, and brought a friend for a birthday dinner. It was a very hot and humid summer's evening, and we were seated upstairs. While the decor is quirky, cute and interesting, we did feel the upstairs area was a little over populated,...More

No, this is the kind of place where anything goes. The servers sometimes dress up in costumes. This is a wild bohemian kind of atmosphere, so if you have some unique piece of clothing collecting dust in the closet, pull it... More

All prices in South Africa are really a bargain for US travellers due to the exchange rate. The average meal in a place like the Bombay incl starter, meal, dessert and a few drinks will cost about $25.00
