Had a late Friday lunch at the Bo Kaap Kombuis. The food was really great and is highly recommended for anyone wanting to try Cape Malay cuisine. The view was an added bonus. Will be back.

This was a great place to try Cape Malay cuisine! Everyone was extremely hospitable and the menu features a few different tasting platters so you can try a bunch of different dishes. This restaurant is halal so they don't serve alcohol.

Up the hill on bo kaap lies this nice restaurant with traditional cape Malay food. The food is really good and the views as well. We really liked the waiter and it felt like a family run business which made it more comfortable.

Nope. In keeping with the Muslim faith of the owners and this traditional and historical area within Cape Town - it is inappropriate to serve alcohol.

There are dishes that are not hot. There were people in our group who did not eat spicy food, and they were able to enjoy several dishes. But I am not sure whether there are dishes without any chilli at all.
