The view from this restaurant is absolutely fantastic. The food is tasty, but rather pricey for the portion one gets. It really is worth a visit.

We had a family dinner recently and absolutely loved it. Food was good and the setting is great. It's situated on the rocks right next to the rocks and water. Very pleased

We had a lovely lunch here. We both had different salads but both were plentiful and very tasty. We sat on a table by the ocean drinking beers and watching the whales swim by, it doesn't really get much better.

We had visited here once before in 2009, but I wasn’t feeling well that day so hadn’t been able to eat anything. On returning to Hermanus in 2017 we booked to eat lunch here, remembering the spectacular setting. The day we visited was pretty cold...More

Superb setting for lunch after a morning whale watching We both had bouillabaisse soup which was very filling with lots of fish and shellfish. Excellent wines to accompany and great value Well worth a visit and you might see the odd passing whale!

This place is right on the rocks and water near the old harbour in an old cave, so the view over the water is amazing. If you there in 'Whale season' and are lucky, you will see them frolicking in the water while you eat....More

We paid for a 2010 vintage, received a 2017 vintage, and there was no offer to compromise when we escalated this difference to the manager. 4 of us went for dinner last week and ordered a bottle of wine off the menu. My first mistake:...More

Dear Priya Thank you for your constructive review. I compiled the wine list and would appreciate your time to clarify exactly what happened. I am presuming that you ordered the Aged Hamilton Russell Ashbourne Sandstone 2010 and perhaps received the Hamilton Russell Ashbourne 2017 dry...More

Clearly not the best food. A bit pricy. But just nice for the view. Ask to be seated on the beach or close to the water. You basically eat with the whales if you are lucky.
