Our B&B host recommended this spot. The drive was beautiful up to a peak, beyond the tavern. This is an old school vacation resort. The local dishes are quite popular and well prepared.

There were 12 of us for lunch and although service can often be slow on this occassion it was perfect, which the staff enhanced with their pleasant and friendly manner. The food was wholesome and well presented with a very reasonable choice of dishes at fair prices.

What a relaxing atmosphere the Bell tavern portrays. Beers on tap, local wines and real Pub Soul food. Well prepared and tasty. We love the Sunday Roast. Worth a visit!

Fortunately the staff were very helpful and found us an inside table quite quickly. Although the service could be rather... More

What an outstanding meal with great beer and wine served here. In the old days this used to be a barn which has now been converted into a pub........it is the smallest pub / tavern in South Africa. The atmosphere is cosy, casual and relaxed :-) The pub is frequented by travelers from many countries as was evident to us... More

The Bell is situated behind the the Belvidere Manor hotel and is owned by the hotel. They have tables inside and out and whilst it is fairly small, that just adds to the character. Very friendly staff and really good food.
