You start with this beautifully photographed menu which definitely gets the taste buds watering. There aren't too many dishes on the menu but the ones that are there all sound very interesting and new to the European palate. We had a selection of starters to share, salads and boerewors, all delicious. Moving onto their mains most of us opted for... More

This had to be one of my most favorite restaurants in the world and longed to return. My husband and I made a reservation quite easily which perhaps was the first sign. We arrived for what they call their vintage Friday's dinner. The menu is a fixed menu giving one a choice of two starters, two mains and two desserts.... More

Stunning gardens, excellent wine, wonderful staff and one of the best steaks we have ever eaten. Excellent menu with light salads through to heavier dishes. My smoked chicken salad was perfectly balanced with the fried capers on top. Absolutely worth the visit if you are in the area.

Did a vinehopper trip which included Simonsig farm as one of the stops. Booked our lunch well in advance which was great because the resturant was totally booked. Lovely wines and surrounding. Recommend the Gewuztraminer cocktail which was delicious and refreshing. Lovely choice of food including vegeterian options.

Since their opening we have visited many times and their change from nouvelle cuisine to laissez faire was the best thing, they have done in the kitchen. Unfortunately the service did not change. It seems like in the valley of the blind the one eyed is king, ,

Beautiful location and views. Great menu. Terrible lunch service. Had to keep asking for the menus. Not asked if we wanted wine. No real information about the wines available. Half the plates cleared the rest left for 20 mins till we asked for dessert. Such a shame as it could be great! Seems like it has just become another huge... More

We visited the place for lunch and it was a very pleasant experience. The offer is limited to a handful of dishes as starters and mains but are away from the standard South African offerings. The starter salad was innovative with its ingredients and The borewors came with a fantastic mustard . Also the mains were keeping the level. The... More

We went there for lunch with some of our clients and I was so tempted to lick the plate after every course. Their Pecan nut tart is the best I ever had and pair that with some Kaapse Vonkel, you will never want to leave. After the meal and MCC you can relax with a cup of cappuccino just to... More

Simonsig is a stone's throw away from a brick factory but turn the corner of the Kromme Rhee road and you will be in the most picturesque vineyard setting. Simonsig is beautiful and the Cuvee restaurant suits the laid back atmosphere perfectly. We had a set menu for our business function with option for silverfish on a bed of soya... More
