Very good quality of food and selection. My personal fave is that the steamed prawns and clams could still be cooked with your choice of sauces. The desert selection is not all that great, but the rest are wonderful. My son who likes steaks thoroughly enjoyed the carving and steak selection and sidings. Those who love Asian will also be satisfied. Even greater value if you get your buffet price through Metro Deal’s promo rate! I will definitely come back for another milestone celebration!

We were greeted nicely seated us and politely asked we can start buffet though a little earlier than set time. I enjoyed the Mediterranean station... went again and again for babaganous, hummus, pitta bread. They let us spoke too with chef when I asked why there was no roasted beef that day. He explained it is “in turn”. My husband was delighted for birthday cake presented by staff complete with singing group, though only 2 diner. That was surprisingly an extra effort by them that made us conclude it is a well managed cafe inside the hotel.

We were part of the first batch of hungry customers to attack the buffet, but it wasn't that crowded throughout our stay. It's a long stretch of food and seeing the meat station and hummus got me excited already! I'll highlight the most memorable foods and experiences. Baba Ganoush and Hummus were excellent with a fine consistency, but I prefer Pita Bread thick and fluffy instead of hard and thin. Baked Whole Salmon and Shrimp Tempura were typically good favorites. U.S. Riverfarm Steamship was a major disappointment; attractive but meat was too tough for everyone at our table regardless of the cooking approach. Iced Tea was house blend style and Infused Water was addicting and refreshing. Crepe had to be redone so extra wait was inevitable. Other than that, service was pretty decent.

The food choices were exceptional. The building design was pleasing to the eye. The tables and chairs were very comfortable. The staff were great. The food itself was great. Unfortunately, this was all nullified most especially for lack of proper ventilation. The tobacco smoke was overwhelming and nasty. It truly spoiled the whole dinner. To add insult to injury, there were three toilet stalls in the Men's toilet area. one was flooded, another was without a door handle and door was broken, with the toilet itself broken. There was a lineup for the one seemingly functioning toilet so I decided to wait. We won't be going back anytime soon. When we got home to Puerto Galera we immediately went over to Infinity Resort and ordered a great pizza to get the nasty taste from City of Dreams out of our minds.

Visiting the re opened “The Cafe” at Hyatt COD since Covid was a great experience. We was initially met by Assistant Manager “Kim”, whom seated us and inducted us to the food choices and changes. Kim has an excellent warm n friendly personality very much suited to his role and customer service. Our waiting staff was “Zyl” and “Regie” whom provided exceptional service throughout the evening. These two waiters encouraged new dishes to be sampled, provided wet towels, cleared tables constantly and filled up glasses when empty. Truly a 5 star service and their experience, motivation and training was appreciated by my table, thank you…. The food was high quality and probably the best tasting Roast Beef and Pasta since relocating to The Philippines some 11 years ago. The seafood section was plentifully and fresh with sauces to accompany. The desert section was delicious and suggest that guests sample the several homemade ice cream selection. The juices, sodas, wines and beers was included within the buffet package in which taking into account the quality, service and positioned adjacent to a 5 star hotel, we felt was good value. I certainly will be returning and recommending to friends and business acquaintances. May I thank the whole team for making my evening pleasurable in which your efforts was duly noted. Regards, Mike British

It is great to experience the reopening of Hyatt Cafe. The food selection and especially quality has improved. A thank you to the catering team for the preparation and making of your delicious dishes. The service from the waiters and management was exceptional, my table found the team very attentive to our needs whilst encouraging the sampling of the new creative dishes. A big thank you to the following team members at Hyatt Cafe: Mr Kim, Duff and kristine and the whole The Hyatt Cafe is an excellent choice for celebrations, family, friends and business meets. I loved the choice of juices, sodas and alcoholic beverages that are inclusive of the buffet rate. In my opinion representing good value when comparing to other high end buffets locally. Nice atmosphere to chill and entertain. Keep up the good work and I have already re booked to visit next week with new business associates.

The place is not exactly cheap, but we had our team dinner here and all of us were really glad. It felt exclusive. The staff were great and the food! It is one of the best food I have had. Will definitely come back here for more team dinners.

I was looking for a new breakfast buffet experience this morning (September 16) so instead of going to my fave hotels here in Metro Manila, I went ahead and booked seats at The Cafe restaurant in this hotel. It all started out wonderful. From the call for reservations which was taken by Leo, their outlet manager, to the restaurant receptionist Andrea to Mac’s excellent service. But it was ruined by their Security staff for me. I was, unfortunately, mistakenly thought to be a Casino thief. And the whole protocol their security did was just THE WORST security protocol I have seen in my entire life, dining in different places and different countries. I was approached by their security who only had a pin on his uniform that says “Security” with no introduction whatsoever right at the buffet area. And he continued to follow me while I walked. Talk about harassment during breakfast! He didn’t even provide an explanation, he just kept saying he needs to see my ID. I called the Outlet manager because he won’t stop asking me for my ID and even went on to give an excuse that he thought I was the one who lodged a previous complaint so he wanted to speak to me so I asked him how come you do not know me if I was the one who lodged the complaint. Unfortunately, the outlet manager wasn’t also aware of what security was talking to me about. And started to explain he wasn’t aware and needed to get the situation figured out. The security guy who approached me just walked off. I must say they are totally so un-Hyatt like. Apologies were given and I was even offered a discount which I rejected - because the discount they are giving cannot equal the stress I felt and the trauma that I would most likely have because experiences like these kinda stick to people’s heads. I suggest to anyone who wants to visit the Philippines and stay in Metro Manila, or if you are a resident wanting to have a great dining experience, take your money somewhere else. The food selection isn’t wow and it could’ve been overshadowed by the good service their staff can provide but if a hotel’s security will act like an untrained scamming police from the streets who would harass you, they aren’t worth every penny you pay for. Hyatt maybe it’s time for you to check on your Manila branch’s training and security protocols.

Wide variety of food choices for their buffet which I really like. They have the freshest seafood and would really love if they will have oysters and lobsters in addition. The staffs are all pleasant and accommodating. Will definitely come keep coming back.
