Food was completely disappointing: my fajitas were old and dry, the rice was oily, food is served in plastic bowls, even the menu was covered with a mixture of guacamole and something that looked like butter. Good surprises never come alone so I was happy to see that they charge 30$ for "cubierto", which is basically a tax you owe... More

I wanted a quick meal and did not feel like huge meat dishes so I tried this restaurant, which was almost empty. Normally a bad sign, I have to say that it was 20.15h, meaning much too early for Argentina. The waiter was friendly but had not invented speed nor efficiency. The margarita was quite good, and the fajitas, well,... More

Landed on this place after strolling the Puerto Madero river walk. By the time we found it (~2pm on a Saturday), we were pretty hungry and happy to stop walking past restaurants and just pick one. Probably should have gone elsewhere. Felt bad for the waiter as he was trying to manage all 10 outside tables, but needless to say... More

Went here yesterday (Recoletta) hoping to sample some good authentic Mexican food. I guess our first hint should have been the music which was a mix of soulful English and instrumental. Not quite setting the right atmosphere! We ordered the Guacamole and chips and for main chicken and veg Fajitas. The chips were from a packet and too salty. Guacamole... More

We went on a Sunday, arriving at 2pm for lunch. We decided ti sit inside... Outside we could see an empty table where the service hadn't been picked up, black with unhealthy looking pigeons eating from the plates. Only three tables were occupied by customers. Our server arrived to work after we had sat, so we had to wait for... More

Honestly I don't even know where to start, as a Mexican I find it offensive that they call themselves a Mexican restaurant. We arrived, received serious attitude from the waiter, I tried to lighten the mood by smiling and asking which dish is served most to which he responded "all of them"...ok. We ordered guacamole and waited 10 min for... More

I ordered the "Burra Veracruzana" It was full of chicken, very tasty. Also I order the excellent drink "Tequila Sour". On the menu, it was announced that Friday there Marichi show, but never appeared.

Presentation of the dishes was great and the tortillas were really good. Apart from that, restaurant seemed a bit run down and needed some repairs. Food is ok, but nothing extraordinary.

Our first experience was that of slow service, one waitress and the food was Ok but not very spicy - we put this down to a bad night. Our second visit during our stay in BA was for the benefit of the doubt, but we once again experienced the same. The burritos, whilst generously filled with chicken were only luke... More

I actually loved the food here. I ordered a pescado, can't remember the exact name of the dish but it came in a 'tabasco' sauce, the server recommended it because I was looking for something picante. I didn't expect much, to be honest, but it was actually kind of spicy! The portion was so huge that I had to take... More

Staying in Puerto Madero

Neighbourhood Profile
Puerto Madero
From its refurbished red brick buildings and port cranes to its modern skyscrapers and luxurious apartment buildings, Puerto Madero is the perfect combination of old and new. The river provides a quiet, relaxing atmosphere that contrasts with the hustle and bustle of heavy traffic just blocks away. Across the river, flanked by skyscrapers, are beautiful parks and quiet streets that make this neighbourhood a unique destination in a city as busy as Buenos Aires. The restaurants, bars, and nightclubs on the docks make it a prime spot for nights out and have come to symbolise this area. Puerto Madero is even more striking after dark, when the lights from the docks and skyscrapers glow against the night sky.
