Salgado is both a place to buy pasta and to eat. It is a pretty rustic place currently being attended by bohemian people in Buenos Aires. Food is very good. I went there twice for pasta and enjoyed the most basic ones: Spaghetti with tomato. They usually have one nice special -another day was revuelto gramajo, a traditional cook. Not... More

I do not know how this restaurant has so many good reviews. The place is ugly and the food was just above average. The veal ravoili dish had a pizza flavored tomato sauce and too much mozzarella cheese on top. Some reviewers say that the dishes here are large, I disagree with them, my dish had only six ravioli.

The food was good (although mine was not hot enough), ambiance is great but super tight, not much space at all! Go early to get a table.

This is the place for an authentic Argentinean meal. A huge serving of homemade pasta, a superb milanesa napolitana...like eating at grandma's. This is the place to go when you feel like just eating, no fancy fusion...just a hearty meal. We adopted as the place to go when we don't want to cook. Prices went up in the past years... More

In BA for two months so sampling dozens of restaurants, the best we have found so far. Tortilla starter fabulous (enough for two) and the Meatballs/Pasta exceptional with the best tasting tomato/bolognese sauce ever. This is a cafe style rather than a formal restaurant which reflects in the most reasonable prices. Gets very busy after 2100hrs but well worth the... More

I was recently chatting to my girlfriend about how difficult it is to make pasta special. Pasta dishes can be delicious but finding one that stands out and is special is not a common find. These guys manage it. Their ravioli is delicious. On our visit I chose the pollo y curry and my girlfriend the pancetta y champignons. Both... More

We have eaten in some pasta places. From the ones we visited in Buenos Aires, this one is, by far, the best one regarding cost-price. Great food by a very fair, rather cheap, price.

This was my favorite spot during my six weeks in Buenos Aires. It is off the tourist track, but the food is worth it. My favorite was the cheddar ravioli with shallots and mushrooms. I highly recommend it!

I used to go to this place a few years ago, then I decided to go back recently and I was unpleasantly surprised. It still had a line of people waiting... but the quality went down hill. I do not think I will go back. 2 of the 2 dishes were bad.
