If someone wants a bad parrillada that is the place to go. The 2 rips served consisted mainly of bone and fat. The remaining 60% of the parrillada were just innards from the cattle. If you order some fries to your dish, you maybe won't leave super hungry, but definitely disappointed. So enjoy the parrillada! BUT in a different place

In the the San Telmo barrio and a block from the plaza on Defensa; good food with reasonable prices. They have a second one in Boca at Magallanes 869 (Caminito) Tel 4139-7832 this location is larger and has live tango until 6 pm. Ask for bife de chorizo y Milanesa a la napolitana with a large Quilmes beer.

With tables close together this eatery features steaks and beef but with many other items on the menu. Wonderful and not too pricy wine selection. Steaks were cooked just as requested. The service is attentive and responsive.

Cute from outside not too tasty from inside, it is however cheap and good of you are hungry and looking for an average and cheap meal. The staff are however very friendly. Make sure you choose the wine and not count on their advise, they might serve you the 1400 pesos bottle

Really rough around the edges but staff were cheery and helpful. Fries were soggy and greasy... prawns in garlic were amazing. Steak slightly overcooked and would have been better on a bigger plate rather than a side plate as it came with potatoes and mushrooms which overflowed Half a bottle of red wine and a beer was £36.00.. Bread and... More

Big regret here, I saw the Trip Advisor emblem, and gave it a try. I should have looked at the reviews first. My pork rib order turned into two raw pork chops. My fries were a heap of greasy half cooked potatoes. I just paid and left . That's my experience here.

Weirdly old-fashioned. Back in the 70's ever since entering. Menu isnt rich and strangely ribs get served cold. So I would advise not to order it. Steak was good though. Internet was perfect. Staff doesnt speak much English.

Me and my wife entered this horrible restaurant after shopping at san telmo street market, the price was ok, 300 pesos for a "Parrillada para 2" that means "BBQ for 2". The waitres was very rude right in the beggining, and that should warn me to go away, but since it looked such a local restaurant, I thought it could... More

Staying in San Telmo

Neighbourhood Profile
San Telmo
Characterized by cobblestones and narrow streets, San Telmo is defined by the tango, the dance that made Buenos Aires world-famous. Tango is a fusion of many different cultures: a true child of immigration, much like the city itself. Nowadays, it comes alive after dark in the milongas (dance parties) attended by both locals and visitors alike, who dance until the wee hours of the morning. During the day, the antique shops and classic cafés and bars around Plaza Dorrego dominate the scene. The emblematic Bar Plaza Dorrego, with its green awnings, checkered tile floors, and wooden interiors, takes you back in time the moment you step inside. For true porteño traditions, San Telmo is the place to be.
