There are all-you-can-eat restaurants in Buenos Aires (namely Tenedor Libre), and then there is Gourmet Porteño. It's more or less a best-of of what Argentine cuisine has to offer, served in a classy atmosphere, but not poshy. A hard-to-beat best-of: parilla, appetizers, pastas, pizzas, empanadas, deserts, sushis (the only "aliens"), you name it, they got it. For 380 pesos, you... More

After a lunch with friends, we've asked to pay with credit card and the waiter which was serving already in a rude way during or entire stay there, has been completely impolite. When a supervisor was required, MR RUBEN appeared and said clearly: "if you don't like the service, do not come back." Which kind of hospitality is it? I... More

Overall our experience was nice. The staff doing the food and our waiter were all lovely and welcoming and the food was good as there was something to please everyone. However. The night ended with a thud as we were rudely told to wait at our table by the manager (I assume - he was the only man in a... More

I was very pleasantly surprised by this restaurant, given the variable reviews. Although I usually avoid "all you can eat" buffets, I'd recommend this restaurant highly. Many of the tables have a view of the water. The staff was uniformly pleasant. Service was prompt, plates were cleared quickly. Make sure you know some basic Spanish phrases, as wait and serving... I don't recommend you to come at this restaurant . Simple it doesn't represent Argentinian food . If you see it go down a couple of block to other restaurant.

I went to the Gourmet Porteno in Buenos Aires' Puerto Madera district in the evening, and the price was slightly more expensive than other area parrilladas (Argentinian grill restaurants), but the high quality of the meat and comfortable atmosphere was worth it. The cost of drinks is in addition to the buffet price, but the buffet includes EVERYTHING else: meats,... More

Didn't expect too much when walking in but totally surprised by the quality and variety of food. It is a very large restaurant and food variety ranges from Japanese sashimi/sushi, charcoal BBQ lamb racks and other meat, western style foods, seafood, too much to list. One can pick the kind of fish you like and cook in front of you.... More

First time at the restaurant and I was blown away by the quality and variety of food this restaurant has. A huge array of seafood, meat section, Italian and even a small sushi counter. You have it all!! If you are a wine person, they have a huge variety of wines to suit your price point. Location is centrally located... More

Food was almost perfect! I was on a group dinner and don't know the prices so no comments on that. It was clean, stuff was polite, maybe the atmosphere was a bit sterile for restaurant in BA. Recommendation!

Staying in Puerto Madero

Neighbourhood Profile
Puerto Madero
From its refurbished red brick buildings and port cranes to its modern skyscrapers and luxurious apartment buildings, Puerto Madero is the perfect combination of old and new. The river provides a quiet, relaxing atmosphere that contrasts with the hustle and bustle of heavy traffic just blocks away. Across the river, flanked by skyscrapers, are beautiful parks and quiet streets that make this neighbourhood a unique destination in a city as busy as Buenos Aires. The restaurants, bars, and nightclubs on the docks make it a prime spot for nights out and have come to symbolise this area. Puerto Madero is even more striking after dark, when the lights from the docks and skyscrapers glow against the night sky.
