Fantastic find. Great bistro preparing food with love and attention. Reasonably priced and more enjoyable than some of its more flashy neighbours. All dishes are on blackboards , staff speak good English if you need that. Excellent wine choices again on a blackboard. Make sure you book or be prepared to join the queues outside.

This is a smallish French style bistro with a frequently changing menu which appears, in Spanish and English, on wall mounted blackboards. (As well as Spanish and English the staff seemed to speak fluently in French and had some Italian as well.) We had not booked so arrived at 8.00 and were first in the place. Over the next hour... We chose BA for the steak and wine experience essentially. Didn't expect to go home buzzing about a restaurant that didn't have steak on the menu. We only had 5 nights in BA. Of course we ate steak immediately. We tried Pizarras Bistro the next night due to the proximity to the hotel; we'd had an action packed day. It... More

Wow, I think this ended up being our best meal in BA! Sounds like the menu changes a bunch so I can only speak to our experience. We also ate at Don Julio and some nice places in Puerto Madero that were all good - Pizarras was simply better. Food was 5 stars while the atmosphere was more like 3.5... More

Found this by chance and have to say we were very happy. Shabby chic surroundings. Menu choice good and the meals we had were top quality. Excellent value for near to fine dinning. Highly recommended.

When I lived a block from this place four years ago, I didn't know it existed so the reviews that say it's "hidden" are absolutely right! We had the last dinner of our honeymoon here and it was truly standout. I had the pork loin and he had the risotto and the stuffed pepper with lamb was divine. Great wines... More

We had an excellent meal in this charming restaurant. The kitchen clearly care deeply about the great food they're serving and the restaurant had a great buzz and atmosphere. We'd arrived at the very unBA time of 8pm and noted it got really busy at 9pm so we didn't get to try dessert, but we loved it and would definitely... More

Having stayed in Buenos Aires for six days (28OCT - 02NOV) in Palermo Soho, I was thrilled to be introduced to Las Pizarras Bistro by my hotel's Reception staff. Turns out it was not even half a block away and what a treat it was! I dined there two nights and I enjoyed every morsel of food and every drop... More

I would echo most of what other reviewers are saying - pleasant little spot, almost hard to find it's so small and unassuming, but really excellent service and mostly delicious food. Our server started by asking if we preferred to speak English or Spanish; she was fluent in both. By far the majority of customers are foreign, Europeans or Americans... More

It is small, cosy restaurant, from the street it looks like nothing special. But the food is just incredibly tasteful. They offer a short list of constantly changing meal - 7-10 entrants, 7-10 main meals, 4-5 desserts, around 30-40 wines. Go for the desserts - here they are perfect final of the meal. As for Buenos Aures prices are not... More

Staying in Palermo

Neighbourhood Profile
Best known as the largest neighbourhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favourite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
