Stopped for lunch here. Really enjoyed its setting and atmosphere. Good menu selection and large proportion. A lunch menu sirloin easily feed two. The salad bar is excellent.

This place was near our hotel. Friends had been the night before and recommended it. Casual and inexpensive food. Good service. We enjoyed our meal.

Been there with high expectations. Good balance food - price, cards accepted, wifi available. Very good menu!

As expected by the reviews we had a very good meal here. The service was efficient and friendly and the food very tasty. The famous Argentinian beef was excellent but not as good as Canadian or US beef. (I am saying it because I have been to quite a few Argentinian restaurants before but never in Argentina). The beer and... More

Still on UK time we wanted to eat at a reasonable time and we're surprised how quiet La Posada was. Generous portions, is that going to be the norm here? We needn't have worried as by the time we had finished that place was filling up with locals, always a good sign. Friendly staff with good English and English menus... More

The waiter could not describe the dishes or drinks on the menu. Found a piece of steel wool on my plate. The waiter kept reiterating that my salad bar order was open to just me and not for family refills. The food was mediocre and service slow. Their modern decor bathroom had a horrid stench. Please cross this restaurant off... More

The restaurnat setting makes you feel you´re in an old Hacienda, with a very good service and waiting staff and the prices are fairly decent (even for Buenos Aires). The wine list includes good options at good prices. Defintetely recommended for dinner whilst in Dowtown BBAA.

La Posada de 1820 serves excellent grilled beef and other Argentine cuisine. I first ate here about 2000. For lunch both yesterday and today, it was about 90% full, about 50-50, locals and tourists. It is conveniently located on a corner a block from both Avenida Florida (heading in the direction of Puerto Madero) and Galerias Pacifico. Again today, we... More

We had dinner here last night and they were quite busy at around 7.30 as opposed to everywhere else which hadn't started. An English menu was a good start and we found the service excellent and prompt. I ordered a BBQ steak which was disappointing. It was over cooked and tough. They did not ask how I wanted it so... I can heartily recommend the lemon chicken. All the meats that I had were fairly bland. Attractive interior, but I was disconcerted to find a cockroach on my tablecloth and a big black hair In my french fries.
