Piacere is one of many similar places to eat in Buenos Aires, its a chain and has a couple of branches in the city. Keep in mind that inflation rate is going at 40% per year and prices have jumped , at the same time the greenback is around 14 and was 15 before all prices went crazy . Argentina... More

Whenever I have a moment free in Recoleta, I have lunch there, or a good coffee in a nice environment. I feel there as at home and every morning I share my breakfast there with friends of mine living close to Piacere.

We just wanted a simple pasta marinara dish - no meat or cheese. Most of the dishes offered had one or the other. However, the server was extremely friendly and patient with out broken Spanish (and he spoke less English than we did Spanish) and helped us figure out how to order what we wanted, how we wanted. The food... More

Every time I choose to have a meal around this place, the experience its different and rather strange. Sometimes the portions are small and in other cases it tends to be undercooked. The place tends to be very busy during the lunch hours so its understandable to get different results. In my case, in most of the cases, the results... More

Ideal for a fast coffee or breakfast. Ask for medialunas, it's like a croissant but smaller. Waiters are usually friendly

If you are looking for a simple dining in the neighborhood, this place can give you what you are looking for in Argentine style, of course. Anyway, don't expect anything to be quick as nothing is quick in Buenos Aires like what you will see in any big cities in the U.S. or Asia.

It is a great little local restaurant in Recoleta Argentina. We'd love to write a recommendation on it as we ate there a lot during our recent stay.

Staying in Recoleta

Neighbourhood Profile
Characterised by the French-style mansions which are the legacy of its aristocratic past, Recoleta is the true “Paris of the South.” Walking around this neighbourhood is an experience like no other in Buenos Aires: its streets are lined with elegant apartment buildings, exclusive boutiques, and former mansions turned into high-end hotels and embassies, which exude an alluring air of sophistication and class. You'll also find a rich cultural scene centred on the National Museum of Fine Arts, the National Library, and the Recoleta Cultural Center; as well as some great shopping spots, like the Buenos Aires Design Mall with an artists' fair set up in Plaza Francia every weekend.
