Make a reservation at least a day ahead of your planned meal, for this is a classy restaurant favored by the who's who in the Recoleta area. Elegant décor and attentive service match the quality of the food. Fixed price menus include appetizer, main dish, dessert, a glass of wine, a bottle of water, and an espresso for around US$30,... Two friends and I went for dinner at Percora Nera("Black Sheep" in Italian), which was a delight. I had a nice-sized burrata appetizer that was excellent and a seafood salad which was quite good. My friends particularly enjoyed selections from the large number of pasta offerings. The service and ambiance were top rate, and we thought that the prices were... More

A good and pretentious Italian restaurant, it is not cheap. A quite environment with an excellent service, in a fantastic area. Perfect to have a dinner with customers.

Honestly had a great meal here, sampled two risottos one seafood and one ossobuco, both were excellent. In line or better with anything I've had in Italy. Wines by the glass also very good (went alone). Prices are normal for high end in BA, which is not bad compared to other places on the globe.

An unpretentious restaurant with great food , excellent service and calm ambiance. We shared a plate of various appetizers with a very good local wine. We both add an entrée of pastas and were very pleased with the difference of sauces. Nonwaiting between services , so we top the evening with a good desert. Reservation recommended.

Second visit was just as wonderful as the first. Best steak I've ever had. Loved the small atmosphere. Be careful, its easy to walk right by this in one of the main buildings near the park in Recoleta.

The food was good, but the service is terrible, even when the restaurant was almost empty. We had to wait 10 minutes to get the menus; we had to ask for refills of beverages; it took them 40 minutes to serve the entree/main course; they forgot things that we asked for. To summarize: no initiative from the waiters; we always... More

Our last night in Buenos Aires and we went to La Pecora Nera for our goodbye South America dinner. The services was especially friendly, the decore sophisticated and comfortable, and the food was almost perfect. My risotta was undercooked, but the waiter gladly took it back to the kitchen. I would happily recommend this restaurant, but suggest you get their... More

Why? Because i can't complain about a single dish we ordered. Even the bread was amazing . The restaurant is located one block from the Recoleta Cementary . We were staying very close at the Urban Suites . I read the reviews prior to my trip so i made sure that we took a break from the Bife de Chorizo... More

Staying in Recoleta

Neighbourhood Profile
Recoleta
Characterised by the French-style mansions which are the legacy of its aristocratic past, Recoleta is the true “Paris of the South.” Walking around this neighbourhood is an experience like no other in Buenos Aires: its streets are lined with elegant apartment buildings, exclusive boutiques, and former mansions turned into high-end hotels and embassies, which exude an alluring air of sophistication and class. You'll also find a rich cultural scene centred on the National Museum of Fine Arts, the National Library, and the Recoleta Cultural Center; as well as some great shopping spots, like the Buenos Aires Design Mall with an artists' fair set up in Plaza Francia every weekend.
