My girlfriend and I ate dinner outside at Lupita back in December (2015). Fun atmosphere. Typical Mexican menu. Don't expect anything amazing, the food was good and the service was good. English speaking friendly. Important to note that beggars walk through all open outdoor dining areas along Puerto Madero asking for money. Ladies - keep your personal belongings close to... More

I went to this place several times for after office or business dinners and every time it was a success, the drinks are great and the food is not just plain nachos with guacamole, you have some really tasty appetizers like ceviche, shrimps and several finger foods. The main course is a mix of different tacos and enchiladas with several... More

I never knew it was possible to make Mexican without any hint of heat but in my limited experience, Buenos Aires seems to specialise in it. My beef burrito was ok but I had to drown it in Tabasco to give it any sort of kick. My friend's quesadilla looked like a very sad taco. I asked for her feedback... More

Poor service, mediocre food at best. Messed up our order. Very slow. Nice location. Good classic Margarita (once you finally receive it!). Very loud music. Definitely not conducive to communication.

We had a really rotten lunch at Lupita. We had fajitas of chicken and beef with four sauces, four tortillas, rice and veggies. What a wreck. This is not Mexican cooking. Flavours and sauces were all off. No trace of lime, cilantro or jalapeno. No beans. No cheese. The rice was inedible - undercooked and sweet. With two cokes we... More

Just went to the new Lupita Mexican Bar in Acassuso!! Friday night, 8 pm. Four adults, two children (5 & 3 years old). Didn't have a reservation; got shoe horned into a corner booth with a small table. Service was slow but polite, we were served about 2 dozen small corn chips with 2 minuture dishes of salsa. Ordered 1... More

I attended this restaurant with my wife. The first thing you have to get used to in Argentina is that people generally eat a lot later in the night. We arrived for 7pm which in Argentina is practically lunch time, we were the only ones in the restaurant other than a small family quietly enjoying their meal. I went for... More

The location is perfect, just on Puerto Madero with a great view of the harbor. The food is the closest to Mexican I ever had in Argentina, but if you are used to good mexican food at your country this is not original, is a little bit of mexican mix with local Argentina. Prices are very good for the location... More

Staying in Puerto Madero

Neighbourhood Profile
Puerto Madero
From its refurbished red brick buildings and port cranes to its modern skyscrapers and luxurious apartment buildings, Puerto Madero is the perfect combination of old and new. The river provides a quiet, relaxing atmosphere that contrasts with the hustle and bustle of heavy traffic just blocks away. Across the river, flanked by skyscrapers, are beautiful parks and quiet streets that make this neighbourhood a unique destination in a city as busy as Buenos Aires. The restaurants, bars, and nightclubs on the docks make it a prime spot for nights out and have come to symbolise this area. Puerto Madero is even more striking after dark, when the lights from the docks and skyscrapers glow against the night sky.
