Chipper is centrally located in Palermo Hollywood in Buenos Aires. It's refreshingly difference from the meat heavy restaurants that surround it. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated in a simple yet sophisticated manner. The service was fantastic. Four of us dined together and have amazing meal. I had the shrimp which was cooked in a light buttery white wine sauce... More

Great evening spent on the balcony eating fish and chips. Good service, lovely atmosphere and great value for money, something that is hard to find in Buenos Aires these days. I had the sole (lenguado), it was very fresh and cooked perfectly. My friend also loved it... their first experience of scampi and he is planning a trip soon with... More

There really is! Chipper was near my hotel and I visited twice (the second time I brought friends)! I got the fish & chips as an appetizer, made with the whitefish. The fish was a good size for holding, and the batter adhered well and was crisp and not overly greasy or heavy. The chips were good, hot but not... More

Chipper is a very stylish yet wonderfully homey restaurant in the Palermo district of Buenos Aires. It is a traditional fish and chip shop in the UK/Irish style and it is absolutely delicious! Truly one of the best meals we had in Buenos Aires and a welcome break from all the steak. (Though there are a few meat dishes on... More

Absolutely DELICIOUS. There simply are not enough complimentary adjectives in the English dictionary to convey how damn tasty this place was! As an English import to the US this hands down puts the majority of British chippys to shame! All their accolades are truly deserved! Don't wait till you are fed up of red meat in BA, just do it!... Had dinner here last night - could not believe the standard of the food. I had the local fish called Abadejo which is like cod and it was in the lightest crispiest batter - much more high end than what you get back home in a chipper, but around the same price. The chips were perfect - crispy and there... More

what surprises me most about this place is, that they never stop taking it to the next level. unlike a lot of restaurants in this area it seems to me that chipper really listens to its customers and tries to satisfy their wishes and needs. the traditional fish and chips now come with the mashed peas, coleslaw and a nice... Good place to eat something different in the city. Nice service, good value. Pretty quiet if you eat before 9pm. We would return.

Neighbourhood Profile
Palermo
Best known as the largest neighbourhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favourite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
