Went to this restaurant following recommendations from several locals. The food was poor at the most being the pork sirloin the best dish The carpaccio was extremely dry and with no flavor, pasta of poor quality and the fishwith a poor presentation and extremely basic flavor. Certainly not a place to recommend - expensive and not good. Many other places... More

We were recommended to go to this restaurant by our hotel for dinner prior to a tango show. It was a pity that our time was limited as it is definitely a place to linger over your meal. The fresh pasta was delicious but the piece de resistance was the passion fruit ice cream. Despite having booked through our hotel... More

This is one of the best if not the best Italian restaurants in BA. Not inexpensive, but great food and atmosphere. I loved the lamb kidneys and I ordered the pasta Puttanesca. Both were fantastic and they have great wine pairings for any palate. There are a number of great places to choose from in Puerto Madero, but this is... More

My brother-in-law is Italian (his parents born in Italy) so he grew up with real Italy.... He loved the place. All the pasta is homemade. I've been to 3-4 Italian restaurants in Buenos Aires and this is my favorite. Veal dishes extraordinary. Easy walk from the Hilton. Nice neighborhood to slowly walk off your meal too.

We stumbled on this restaurant while walking along the canal in BA. What a great place. Nice view from the terrace, and our waiter was very friendly and helpful. We had a mixed seafood bbq and mango salad shared between 4 of us. Best meal so far in BA.

This was the one place I was missing from the same family. I was in Baires on a two day trip so wanted to visit it. The first night was crowded and fully booked so didn't get a table. The second night however I showed up early with no reservation and had a table for one available. I had an... More

This restaurant is located in the Puerto Madero barrio of Buenos Aires, easy to find. We had a very good meal with lots of typical Italian menu choices. The food was very well prepared, service was attentive, and there were some good wine choices on the wine list that didn't break the bank. Highly recommend.

The day was perfect for terrace dining. This was the outside factor that helped in making it a perfect experience. The rest was the restaurant's doing. The appetizers- salmon carpaccio and breaded olives-were straightforwardly delicious; the fish, pasta, vegetables, were very tasty and the shared dishes were abundant to say the least. The desert- apple tart and dulce de leche... More

This is one of the best "theme" restaurants in Puerto Madero, with good decoration "by the pound" and attentive service. Food delicious and of high quality. Great alternative for large groups or if you are bored and craving some nice seafood or meat, but nothing fancy or sophisticated otherwise.

Description
A little basket full of trully homemade bread rolls awaits on every table for diners, so they can choose from some of the many delights on the menu. As an appetizer, diners can choose a classic Polenta a la Bolognese; Olives Ascolanas (Olives stuffed with batter-fried veal) or the Eggplant Parmigiana (eggplant au gratin with parmesan cheese, tomato and basil).
Sottovoce offers a really interesting variety of pasta, all made with hard semolina of candeal wheat and egg. Stuffed Pasta is actually homemade, whereas dried textured pasta, such as Tagliatelle or Maltagliati, is provided by a pasta factory.
Dishes like Maltagliati alla Bolognese or Pappardelle with Mushrooms (cream, dried mushrooms, chanterelles, mushrooms and portobellos) are plentiful, delicious and trully Italian. But although pasta is the Queen of the Menu, a tasty Sirloin with sweet-pepper sauce (with potato fries and grilled onions) and Curried Chicken Spezzatino and Almonds with rice is also offered.
Desserts are plainly wonderful: Profiteroles with Strawberry and Vanilla ice-cream, Creamed Crepes (flambéed with vanilla ice-cream), Tiramisú (1oo% Mascarpone cheese) and the exuberant Chocolate Vulcano, are some of the many recommended desserts. Homemade ice-cream is also exquisite. Some flavours are really outstanding, such as Tangerine or Maracuya.

Staying in Puerto Madero

Neighbourhood Profile
Puerto Madero
From its refurbished red brick buildings and port cranes to its modern skyscrapers and luxurious apartment buildings, Puerto Madero is the perfect combination of old and new. The river provides a quiet, relaxing atmosphere that contrasts with the hustle and bustle of heavy traffic just blocks away. Across the river, flanked by skyscrapers, are beautiful parks and quiet streets that make this neighbourhood a unique destination in a city as busy as Buenos Aires. The restaurants, bars, and nightclubs on the docks make it a prime spot for nights out and have come to symbolise this area. Puerto Madero is even more striking after dark, when the lights from the docks and skyscrapers glow against the night sky.
