Been there for breakfast, lunch and dinner and I liked the experience each time. The menu has an adequate offering of meats, saldas, fish with an local twist. The place is beautiful, great ambience for casual dinners and work lunches. Service is very good as well. The wine selection is excellent, there are more wines than in the main menu.

Me and my family went to El Mercado in Faena Hotel, the food was amazing from the couvert until the desert. The place is just beautiful with a very modern decoration using old furniture and art. But the weather was very hot and raining. The side door was opened and the air was off. We have requested several times to... More

I loved the place! Its decoration transports you to another century but still, makes you feel in Argentina! Ordered a provoleta made in clay oven; the baked rice and a couple of tequila cocktails! My husband and I enjoyed lunch and the food was very good. They say on sundays they serve a great "asado"!!! We must come back!

Every morning we woke up and couldn't wait to go enjoy a beautifully laid out breakfast with the most wonderful staff ever! Cynthia, the host, greeted us each morning during our stay and it made our morning. As we sat down, they offered you coffee, tea and you had your choice of a long table filled with pastries, charcuterie spread... More

We ate there couple of times because we were staying at the hotel. The breakfast was always good and so was lunch. The service was also good.

Wonderful, quirky decoration , trendy but different and with bags of atmosphere. Service is attentive and friendly , food is consistently good quality - even the fish is good here ( unusual for Argentina) . Well worth a visit

Very trendy vibe with vibrant lighting Faena Hotel is famous for the Tango Show so El Mercado is a good choice for couples and small groups who want to catch the show. Food was very good but short of spectacular. Like most Buenos Aires restaurants you better bring an appetite because portions are generous.

The room is beautiful or you can choose 1 of 2 outdoor venues. The food is delicious. They offer a wide variety of fruits, fresh juices, and many sweets and breads. Or they will cook to order several varieties of eggs. They even offer champagne at the buffet!

If you're staying at the Faena, you shouldn't miss the Sunday asada brunch. Their daily breakfast is great, too.

Staying in Puerto Madero

Neighbourhood Profile
Puerto Madero
From its refurbished red brick buildings and port cranes to its modern skyscrapers and luxurious apartment buildings, Puerto Madero is the perfect combination of old and new. The river provides a quiet, relaxing atmosphere that contrasts with the hustle and bustle of heavy traffic just blocks away. Across the river, flanked by skyscrapers, are beautiful parks and quiet streets that make this neighbourhood a unique destination in a city as busy as Buenos Aires. The restaurants, bars, and nightclubs on the docks make it a prime spot for nights out and have come to symbolise this area. Puerto Madero is even more striking after dark, when the lights from the docks and skyscrapers glow against the night sky.
