Visited the winery and Restaurant today and has a thoroughly delicious meal. The three course lunch was superb - I chose the ribeye which I wasn’t that happy with so they swapped it for the ribs that were sensational. The wine pairing was so good I had to buy some to take back to the U.K. The mood and the atmosphere is young vibrant and gastronomic with everyone enjoying they wine and food. I would say that visiting here is a must and soak up the ambiance. Love it

We had the paired dinner and were blown away. It started with a personal tour, telling a story of the house and art contained within, referencing Dante's Divine Comedy. Our reservation was for 8:30 pm, and we were finally seated at 9:15 in a quiet room that turned out to be all to our selves! (apparently, other reservations got messed up) Each place was set with 11 wine glasses (and we had already had a champagne and white wine while we were on the tour). We then proceeded to have an absolutely delicious 10 course dinner, that we'd rank equal or better to those we've had in Lima, San Francisco and Chicago. We left the restaurant at midnight, after declining coffee or any additional wine. Service was absolutely top notch, friendly and informative. We wouldn't hesitate to return, and actually plan to do so for lunch next time we're in Mendoza.

We came here for lunch. We had heard about Alejandro Vigil, who is also the master vintner at Catena Zapata. His wife runs the restaurant where we enjoyed lunch but it is also open for dinner. It's quite a popular restaurant. We opted for the lunch with wine pairing and we were very impressed with both the quality of the food and great wine. Alejandro visited our table and we had a nice conversation. We later saw him at Catena Zapata when we did a tour there.

Bacherolette trip on covid times, decided to book a very short trip to mendoza with 6 friends. I hyped everyone on how we MUST go have lunch at El Enemigo cause it was the best. Got there, got seated in separate tables with blasting music, food took over 4.5 hours and the time in between courses was over 30 sometimes 45 minutes. Had to beg for water and an explanation of the plates/wines Then, when we thought things were over and after waiting 30' to pay we spent hours on the gardens lifting the mood and fooling around taking pictures. Just when we were ready to leave, in comes the manager stomping that we were leaving without paying!!! We proceeded to kindly explain that we had spent way too much time there and cound't be bothered to go back for another 30' session of them trying to work the cash register out. So i offered my email and cel for them to reach out and sort it out. Needless to say they never did. Its been over a week, I've messaged them over 6 times and they still dont get back with any sort of reply on the amount we allegedly owe EPIC FAIL PS: feel free to send the check or an apology our way El Enemigo!

Muchas gracias y saludos

We came to this highly sought after restaurant for lunch. The expectations were high after reading all the reviews. The food and wines did not disappoint, however the entire experience was completely ruined by the judgemental attitude and service provided by one of the servers, the one who acted as the restaurant’s somm. Our party was composed of my husband, his father and myself. We’re a multi-national, multi-lingual family and therefore multiple languages are spoken at the table. This server perhaps because he heard my husband and father in law speak Portuguese and I Spanish, assumed that they were the main guests dining (since ~85% of their guests are Brazilian) and that I was their tour guide. Additionally in a classic, male chauvinistic manner he never addressed me, the only female at the table, as he explained the menu and wines, he always only looked at the two males at the table when talking almost as if I wasn’t even there and he even served me less wine compared to the males despite me being a paying customer. He never once however asked to clarify whether we were all one family or whether, as he wrongly assumed, I worked for the two males sitting next to me. It wasn’t until the end though, as I was leaving a rather generous tip on the table which isn’t customary in South America, that the server asked me if I was part of the party and admitted to me that he had made the incorrect assumption about who I was. I was flabbergasted and shocked hearing this and this explained why he treated me differently than the rest of my party. He tried to apologize but it was too little too late. I’ve never experienced such discrimination at a restaurant before and still can’t understand how someone working in the service industry, especially at a high end restaurant, can behave this way. Sadly this became the worst experience we had while visiting Argentina.

We had no expectations for last Saturday’s dinner as we had just arrived from Buenos Aires driving 10 hours. Surprisingly enough, the arrival at the restaurant started to lift our hopes for a memorable evening. Everything from parking the car, the reception, brief stride and explanations was a good beginning for a great steps dinner. When we were directed to our table the show began. A 7-step meal carefully crafted with great attention to detail and subtle but substantive flavors as well as generally good pairings with wines. The last beef course that we chose was great in the quality, tenderness and abundance of the meat as well as the rest of the plate. Some of the wines from Losance are not, in our opinion, coherent with the quality of the others. Notwithstanding this, the work, advice and warmth of the sommeliers was superb as was their generosity to offer other wonderful alternatives. The waiters were timely, efficient and always with good humor and kindness.

We had the pleasure of visiting for a 7 courses lunch tasting with our group of 12 from USA participating in the 2021 Culinary Wine Tour to Argentina. Our table was taking cared by a professional dining room manager Rodrigo which explained to us the wines and the courses being served. The food was prepared under the magic of Chef Ivan Azar and we had the opportunity to meet the owner Alejandro Vigil who is the enologist that created El Enemigo brand. We started with a Beet/Strawberry with a Bonarda, Asparagus Quail egg, bacon beet and peanuts with a Riesling, A lake fish called Pejerrey with leeks and lemon with a Semillon, Smoked Bacon and Quince with a Cabernet Franc, and 3 choices: Costilla/Asado Rib braised 12 hours with demiglace, potatoes and peas, Ojo de Bife Ribeye steak Broccoli and carrots, chimichurri and Homemade Ravioli with Goat cheese and peas, mint butter, basil, parsley, lemon and beets with a Chardonnay or Grand Enemigo Blend, Chocolate/Oliva/Quince with Champenoise Extra Brut. Our experience in ambiance, food, service all around 10+

Lunch at Casa Vigil!!! On Saturday, February 24, my wife and I went to Casa Vigil for lunch. The experience was excellent and met all our expectations from beginning to end. We had a reservation at 1 p.m. and since we wanted to visit the place we arrived a few minutes before 12. They receive you with a glass of wine of your choice between a white or a red wine while you wait to take the tour of the place, which is short but very amusing. After the tour they seat you at the restaurant table and offer you a complimentary white wine. The only lunch option is a three-course menu that consists of starter, main and dessert of your choice from the menu, without pairing ($66,000 per person). There are several wine tasting options for all tastes and budgets (from $29,000 to $460,000), we opted for a bottle from the menu among several options from the entire El Enemigo line. In our case a Gran Enemigo Cabernet Franc, El Cepillo 2019. Returning to the food, there are several options per step to choose from and it has vegetarian options. We chose for starters a "Loin carpaccio - Herbal salt - Vitel tone of silverside - Quail egg - Homemade mustard - Caper leaves" It was exquisite, the meat was watering in your mouth. For mains, my wife chose "Trout - Citrus sweet potato emulsion - Fennel and watercress - Spicy bean soup" I opted for "Rib - Potato - Parsley Lactonesa - Creamy Pea - Sweet and Sour Carrot". Both dishes are excellent!! The rib prepared in long cooking could be cut with a spoon and two slices of very abundant trout loin. For desserts we chose "Strawberry semifreddo - Strawberry coulis - Vanilla cream" and "Pistachio macaron - White chocolate cream - Pears and lemon" Both were delicious!! Up to this point I have described what we ordered because there were extras that made the experience magnificent. To wit: 1- When we sat down, they welcomed us with a glass of white wine. 2- We had chosen to drink a particular bottle and not a tasting option but when the main dishes arrived they offered us two wines to pair with our dishes. 3- To finish, they offered us a glass of sparkling wine. All this courtesy!! Casa Vigil is a place to visit and return to. The experience was excellent. The attention is unbeatable. I cannot make any complaints/observations. Detail: After lunch if you want to make a purchase in the store you have a 25% discount on most wines. They have their star well deserved!! Congratulations!!!

Completely disappointing. They put us in a room where the air conditioning didn't work. Paolo, responsible for the food, started arguing with Guadalupe, responsible for the drinks, about the fact that we asked to cool the environment, which made the experience completely unpleasant. It's the only harmonized 10-course dinner where you have to beg for wine and pay a very high price. In any other place we went, including Catena, the service was much more cordial and empty glasses were expected to be replenished at a minimum. Guadalupe was so unhappy with the service that she didn't even give any explanation about the dessert wine. He simply served at the table in an extremely bad mood! In short: extremely hot atmosphere, unfriendly staff, very limited wine and very high cost! I wouldn't go back and I don't recommend it, as it was my worst experience in Mendoza

The atmosphere is wonderful, especially the night visit where some parts of the vineyards are illuminated, a warm welcome in a very elegant outdoor environment. After a brief visit to the place, we headed for dinner paired with the 10-step menu. I confess that we expected more, some dishes I didn't try because I don't like some of the meats served. Excellent tasting and pairing. Highlights include the service provided by Nicolas and sommelier Magali, who are extremely attentive. If you are selective about food, your visit will not be worth the amount invested.

The summary: overpriced, too much food to enjoy, lacking ambience, overly commercial. We booked the table for dinner, as Casa Vigil was described as one of the best places in the vicinity of Mendoza. The ten-course dinner is too much food to really enjoy. One of the appetizers burned my lips as it was improperly prepared—this should not happen in a Michelin restaurant. The wine pairing was unimpressive. The service seemed impersonal, with the staff reciting what they memorized about the wine and the dishes. The place lacked atmosphere. For the price of US$130/person and a Michelin restaurant one would expect much better experience.

We visited Mendoza in July and this was one of the highlights of our trip. Mendoza has fantastic wine pairings and this was one of the best. The wine tour was fine, we did it at night and the sommelier was very knowledgeable and the overall experience was very good. What made the night excellent was the food pairing. We did the 7 course food pairing with wine and it was sublime. The sommelier and the waitress gave us amazing service. They were very knowledgeable, professional, nice and everything was perfect. All the food we tasted came with perfect timing and it tasted fantastic. Every course was delicious, the portions seemed small, but after 7 courses, it was enough. I loved all of them but they served us a pasta with broth that was out of control deliciuos.7 courses of gourmet food that tasted great along with perfect wine pairings made the night memorable. One of my favorite wines was Semillon, which is very hard to find in Miami, but we got it shipped from New York. I would definitely recommend this winery. It has amazing everything: wine, tour and food.

One of the best experiences on the ¨wine route¨ in Mendoza was visiting Casa Vigil, an excellent winery with superior quality wines. We had lunch at ¨El Cielo¨, very well attended, with a culinary offer of superior quality, with products from the winery's own garden prepared and presented in an excellent way. Each step of the lunch was paired with Gran Enemigo Blend, Gran Enemigo Acrelo (83% Cabernet and 15% Malbec), and finally Gran Enemigo Gualtallary (85% Cabernet Franc and 15% Malbec). Wonderful experience that I will definitely repeat when I visit Mendoza again.

Casa Vigil will probably be the most delicious, noble and expensive lunch of your life. It's a 3 to 5 hour experience, Alejandro (former Catena Zapata employee) created his own winery after overcoming his own challenges and fears, and that's why he named it El Enemigo, which according to the work of Dante Alligueri, our greatest enemy and the fear. After a few years of cooking and serving his own wines to visitors and friends, he and his wife decided to open a restaurant, Casa Vidil. Upon entry, we are welcomed with semillon white wine and a private malbec from Alejandro's private vineyard, with no glass limits until the visit to the site begins, which lasts half an hour. The visit takes place in a kind of artistic museum with paintings by local artists and sculptures reminiscent of Dante's work, with hell being a small cave with barrels and a century-old malbec vineyard in the open air. We had the “3 steps” lunch, which does not include drinks, and to drink we ordered an unlimited tasting of the basic line (El Enemigo Chadornnay, Malbec and Cab Franc). The entry of the “63 degree egg” in potato crust is phenomenal, a detail that the knife was a little dull when cutting it, but the rib that was cooked for 12 hours with the potato puree with cream (aligot) surpassed all expectations. I tried my girlfriend's zucchini torteloni with crunchy almonds and mushrooms, it was also phenomenal. The price is quoted in dollars, we had the cheapest lunch possible, it was 95 dollars per person, paying with Wise debit card, a very attractive exchange rate.

Unforgettable lunch at Casa Vigil. All dishes with surprising flavor, excellent options (vegetarian or not) and very attentive service from the restaurant. We were just upset that we didn't take the guided tour. They told us to wait for them to call us and that never happened. We'll be back, but next time I won't do the pairing. The wonderful food is worth the visit - plus the 45 dollars charged for the pairing (the paired lunch cost 90 dollars, the non-paired one 45) is enough to buy a few bottles of wine at the local store. Remembering that, at lunch, 3 glasses are served for this price.
