Wonderful Indian food, seasoned just right. Was not disappointed! My only complaint was I had water, it tasted nasty so drink my friends iced tea. Chicken korma was yum yum

I am blessed that there are a handful of very good to excellent Indian restaurants in or near the Downtown-Gilbert/Mesa area. Of these, Guru Palace I really enjoy. I mainly go to the buffet, where it is fun to sample a variety of the delicious Indian delights, from the various vegetarian offerings (they separate the veg from the meat offerings)... More
I come here often. It is the best Indian food in the east valley. Very good food and MaYs good service. My boyfriend is Indian and he even thought it was decent and this is from someone who normally won't eat Indian food outside of the house
I visited Guru Palace for the first time to use an entertainment coupon and I will definitely be back! The restaurant was nice, very clean and had a nice ambiance. It was a Saturday night and it was not crowded. The service was great! We had garlic naan, a chicken appetizer, a chicken dish and a fish dish---all were so... More
An authentic Indian restaurant with an ample buffet with tasty foods. The Guru Palace has great cooks and an attentive wait staff. Went with two Indians one who is an exceptional Indian cook and this is their go to place if she is not cooking. The buffet starts with a salad bar. For those non-Indians who think a salad is... More
We had great service and good food. We had the buffet and did not check out the menu. They brought us extra bread (garlic). We sat and talked for abut 3 hours and they had to finally ask us to leave :) So they could prepare for dinner. The buffet is good food and the bread is great. Traditional Indian... More
We have been to this restaurant many times, usually for the truly delicious buffet. This time we went for dinner (lentil soup, chicken vindaloo, chicken tikka masala), all good. We picked medium spiciness, and there was some heat but at a very tolerable level (we are the type who buys "mild" salsa in the stores). The meal started with pappadums... More
Great buffet. Not an extremely wide spread but does it all very nicely. The chicken curry is the Indian spicy but simple one making it a perfect company to the jeera rice. Mango lassi is awesome. Do ask them for naan. It is a part of the buffet but made fresh
The food is okay but there ethics suck! They lie! I asked how many pieces of naan bread do you receive in one order and they responded with "two", so I ordered two orders. I only received three pieces altogether. When calling them when I got home I asked how many pieces of naan bread do you get in an... More
We have been to Guru Palace twice recently for dinner, and thoroughly enjoyed it both times. Most recently we ordered Chicken Vandaloo and Shrimp Korma. Both sauces were wonderful, the potions are generous and all entrees are served with fragrant jasmine rice. The Korma sauce has a touch of coconut milk, which makes it creamy and rich. Friends ordered the... More
