I probably could visit this place at least once a week without any guilt. Tuesday taco day has been good to me. I love, love their fish. Just love Rubio's

After going to the Temple we always stop in for a bite to eat with another couple. The place is always filled with people but we are always able to find a seat, either inside or outside on the patio. The place is neat, well run and staffed with an excellent crew to assist and take our order. I usually... More

My wife and I tried Rubio's in Mesa today for lunch. We have been trying to find an alternative to Chipotle's as I'm not eating there since they have had all of there problems. Rubio's was very good. We both had the steak burritos and it came with chips. You don't get chips at Chipotle's unless you pay extra for... More

Lunch... enchilada combo, one shrimp w/green sauce, one chicken with red sauce.. Liked the shrimp one, didn't care for the chicken. The tortillas seemed dry. Beans and rice nice. It's self service. I thought the prices a bit high compared with places with more atmosphere..

We tried Rubio's for the first time after reading the reviews. After waiting in line to order I began to wonder about our choice. We waited what seemed an eternity before our food came. When it did it was cold and the tortillas were the consistency of shoe leather. Save your money and look somewhere else.

Rubio's always has the best fish tacos in town. Great food, always hot and tasty. Love all the fresh salsa choices.

We normally try to avoid fast food restaurants and large chains on vacation. Today however we were looking to get something quick and easy, as we were shopping. This was our first visit to Rubios and I must admit it was pretty damn good. The grilled Mahi Mahi tacos and the chicken salad were spot on for flavour, heat and... More

We have eaten here several times when visiting Mesa. It is always excellent. We like the variety of fish tacos and the salsas are great. The best thing about the place is how the staff actually seems happy to wait on you and to care about how you like your food. The place is clean and obviously well managed.

We were traveling beck to Phoenix from a day trip and my son wanted tacos. We were pressed for time but did not want icky drive through food. I asked Siri for local Mexican restaurants and Rubios came up nearby. We really enjoyed the "serve yourself" salsa bar and our food was made fresh to order. We ate every bite.... More

We hadn't ever been to a Rubio's so we didn't have very high expectations for a small fast food mexican restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised. While the decor could have been improved, the food was good, prices were great and the place was clean. We will be back.

Description
The first restaurant was opened in 1983 in San Diego by Ralph Rubio and his father, Ray, who started the fish taco phenomenon that spread across the nation. Today, Rubio’s menu has grown from The Original Fish Taco® to include additional chef-crafted seafood recipes that feature shrimp, wild salmon and ono. In addition to sustainable seafood, Rubio’s offers chargrilled chicken and steak, fresh made guacamole and salsas and sauces that are prepared daily.
