Rustic atmosphere, good service but the food is average to below average. Watery red cabbage dish, very mushy weis braten and watery gravy on my spatzel (even though no gravy was requested). We've eaten in a number of Bavarian style restaurants in North America and Europe and we don't find their food very authentic nor highly palatable. Went by the... More

There is a lot to like about the food. My husband enjoyed the selection on the salad bar. The liver dumpling soup was excellent. We also had the potato pancakes (not on the menu), which were very crispy. Down side: the dishes used for the bread did not seem totally clean--had some dried bumps on them. The strudel is excellent.

We stopped in for a 5:30 dinner, quaint atmosphere if you go in the bar door, just turn left down the rustic hallway until you reach the restaurant. You seat yourself anywhere vacant, hostess brings menus, then the server makes her first of four appearances. You get your drinks, you get your food, you get your bill. The dumpling, the... More

THe Bavarian Point is just what it says " Bavarian " We had a group of 12 for dinner there in a semi private part of the restaurant. Everyone there enjoyed their German choices for Entree. We ordered Potato Pancakes, which you have to do the day before, they were fantastic for appetizers or main course. They were the best... More

Stopped here late on a Saturday night while in town with my parents. They had heard about it from a neighbor but have never been. We walked in on the bar side, and were quickly told to go to the restaurant side and that the kitchen was still open. (We had arrived around 8:20). Went to the restaurant side...stood there... More

The Bavarian Point is a cozy bar and restaurant. It medium priced and good food. I especially like the Goulash, it is served as an appetizer but is enough for a meal. Vernon the owner is the Chef and his menu serves up authentic German cuisine.

Excellent German food and beer. Good salad bar, but I always get the soup. Make sure to save room for dessert.

Tasty pork and beef dishes, also serves liver, chicken, and fish. It is just across the street from Tower Point Resort. The German/Austrian atmosphere prevailed. Lunch was just the best as it less crowded and superior service. The meat was slow roasted just to perfection. The salad bar was small but very tasty,

When you first walk in you may expect a polka band to come out of hiding from somewhere. It is very much old style Germanic/ Slavic in atmosphere. But DON'T LET THAT STOP YOU! A variety of beers that you won't see many places - sampled 2 and both were stellar - but wait, there's more! I had the lamb... More

Spent 3 years in Europe. Love both German and Italian food. This is the best German food we have ever had, except maybe up in the Wisconsin/Minnesnowda area where there are large German populations. Have been to this restaurant multiple times, never disappointed with the food. Service sometimes suffer, depending on their current staff. Inconsistent waiter service keeps them from... More
