We have been Macayo's fans for many years. Macayo's changes from time to time keeping up with the times. The place has had a complete decor make over and a new menu. The staff has become more efficient. We had a large party. Everyone found a selection they liked including new menu items. We were very pleased by the food... More

Very disappointing, bad service, didn't get what we ordered, and what we got was less than mediocre. Wasn't even worth taking the leftovers home. Wouldn't recommend and won't return.

Went in with a friend late weeknight . Place was empty , one hour til closing time. Servers were bunched up telling a story when we walked in and they looked at us but went back to finishing story. When one finally came over to help us they told us we would be better upstairs in bar. Upstairs , more... More

Not many places in Arizona that you can have a Mexican dinner on the water . Dinner was priced appropriately at 10-15 dollars . Staff was friendly and attentive . Can't wait to go back !

We golfed across the street & enjoyed a great happy hour afterwards. Weather was pleasant so great to sit out on patio upstairs.

Has been remodeled inside and looks great! (hadn't been there for a while) Food keeps us coming back. Baja sauce enchiladas super! Tacos great! Gets busy on the weekends. Has a really neat back patio that overlooks a little man made lake. Cantina upstairs with weekday specials. Great for our "nice weather months". Pricing about 10-15 a head...about normal. Service... We went here looking for good food. Once we were seated, I was having a hard time opening my menu.......well it was stuck together with salsa and food that had spilled on it. Asked for another one but she never brought one, so I got up and went to find one myself. Then my husband ordered a beer. He ordered... More

Went on a Wednesday night, not busy, just right - staff was great, our waitress especially, atmosphere was nice, etc. It was SO & I's first time, waitress helped my SO with his questions regarding the tacos and current deals they offered. In the end, she offered to let my SO order 1 Chipotle-spiced taco (from a meal option that... More

Looked for an authentic Mexican restaurant while traveling back to Mesa and found this one on line. Wonderful atmosphere, quick and efficient service, and a really good menu. Fresh ingredients and large portions made for a nice meal to end the day. Recommend if you're looking for the real thing with a pleasant atmosphere!
