Have been travelling around Argentina, Chile and Uruguay for the last month and have taken the time to write reviews on those that I feel need recognition, and also those that require some warning. This place was great and definitely worth a visit. The Ojo de beef was some of the best we have had, bottle of Malbec was only... More

The beef was excellent. The service was slowish but friendly and the menu was reasonably priced. Excellent central location.

Pricey but good quality. Meat was delicious as well as the wine. Impressive selection of local and other Argentinian wines. Friendly staff.

We ate here for dinner last night (my husband, 1yr old boy & I). Everything we had was delicious. We ordered the Churrasco de Lomo & the Vacío. Both cuts of meat were very tender and flavorful.

We look for number 1 restaurant in Salta (not this one) but we left because it was not suite for kids (although it might offer good meals, idk). Anyway, we ended up going to El Charrua, which was a good choise! We came without reservations which was not an issue. The meals are H U G E!! I ask for... More

We usually don't visit a restaurant twice but this one, we had dinner two times. What a great place! They offer an enormous range of good local wines and especially the beefs (de chorizo) are fantastic. Good prices as well.

The meat was good, but overcooked. All in all it is a very nice place, but it is quite expensive (lunch of steak with a side dish, with beer and coffee cost me 410 pesos)

This was our second time at El Charrua and we felt let down. Last time we were very happy with the food and service, unfortunately this experience was not confirmed this time. Service was unfriendly and rushed, and the meat was not cooked to an acceptable standard. With several good parrillas in Salta, I will not be going back to... More

Thanks to Tripadvisor positive comments I discovered this restaurant. I had a wonderful experience. The food I ordered (Entrecote with mushrooms) upon suggestion of the waiter was incredibly good, as well as the wine I ordered (Finca las Nubes). I still remember after so many months the good taste of that meat!
