Our hotelier recommended this place but the reviews are less than stellar. We went anyhow, and had a great dinner. As Argentines eat late and we came early at 8pm and as it's the low season we had the place to ourselves. The platter of cheese, smoked game and fish was great. My husband and I both followed with trout... More

I had expected better due to some of the other reviews, but on a recent visit it proved purely ordinary. We later discovered far better places in San Martin (e.e. Torino).

Went to dinner with friends recently, it was a busy night but nevertheless our waiter was very rude, just because we spoke english he gave up on our table, some of the dishes we requested never arrived, the soup was not hot and food in general okay, but not special. It had been recommended as the best in town.

The main problem was that the food didn't justify its prices. Beyond that, we didn't like the food very much - the deer meat was to saucy and the fish (troute) had nice sauce but that's it. We must say that the service was good and the waiter gave us good wine recommendation. In one word - overrated.

Corn cream soup delicious but everything else on the table was not so good (pastas and deer with pepper ). Excellent decoration. A very cosy place, just that.

I had dinner in La Tasca, after a couple of very good recommendations. It was worthy to go. The trucha al limon was delicious. The service was very good as well.

Owners opened early (7pm) for Argentina and warmly received us. We chose to sample a picada for 4 persons and were not disappointed. A huge banquet consisting of smoked meats including deer and wild boar, a wide variety of cheeses and sumptious veggies and meats in escabeche. A terrific tapas experience washed down with a bottle of Saurus pinot noir... More

This restaurant was bursting with customers. We were treated briskly by waitress and service was slow. However, the food was very good, with LARGE portions. The value was excellent.

I have now discovered a new standard by which to measure all other nice restaurants. This gem of a restaurant is a delight not only to the palate, but to the other senses as well. The decor comes straight from an old family vineyard, the wine selection lining the walls numbers in the thousands, and the menu offers local seasonal... More

This is a cute warm place with nice artwork, jars of olives and pickles and other interesting artifacts. We went early and this relatively small restaurant filled up quickly. The food was good and prices reasonable. Our main complaint was with the service. We realize dining late and long is the custom in Argentina. However, after a long drive through... More
