I particularly enjoy the idea of books and coffee. The decoration is really nice with books and quotes by different authors all over the place. The prices are rather high, but most every place in Calafate is over-priced. The empanadas are good, the coffee is just OK. However, what they really need to work on is "service". It is slow,... We stumbled upon this place while walking around the Main Street one of our afternoons. The decor is really cool and they have quotes of books and people everywhere. We planned to come in at night for some downtime and to read our books. We knew it was expensive so no surprises there. A simple tea and a local craft... More

The biggest rip-off south of the equator. 2 bottles of beer, 230 pesos. 2 (bad) pisco sours, 360 pesos.

This place looks fun with it's high balcony - but beware it may become a wasted afternoon. The service is really really slow, in fact, I never even got my lunch! Both my meal mates finished their meal and mine still had not arrived. I ultimately just cancelled it because it was time to go - When I tried to... More

We wound up at this fun, cozy upstairs bar three (3) nights in a row. Great beer and great service. The folks were so friendly to us and we felt like we were at some rich guys lodge. Go check it out, but don't order the pizza...it was like a thick piece of bread with melted cheese on top.

1 : The service was really long and they messed up the order and brought something that I did not order. Had to wait 40 minutes to get my drink. 2 : it is insanely expensive, more than in my own country, I was really shocked. 10 euros for a hot chocolate I could not believe it. 3 : teenagers... More

We stopped here for empanadas and beer one afternoon. We liked the empanadas so much that we ordered more. This is located upstairs and has a good view of main street.

Came here on a rainy day. Don't know why it's so highly rated on trip advisor! So expensive - cappuccino costing about €8 is ridiculous!! Got traditional tea that cost about €4 for a teabag (nothing fancy about it!) and a pot of boiling water. Black coffee was tiny, and so-so. Nothing like a barista made coffee! We came here... More

Expensive beers in a tourist area. I'd say skip it and head to a pub a bit out of town. Didn't try any of their food.
