Lovely place, excellent service, great value. I went with my daughter and her family and it was a charming, wonderful eating experience. Four of us had a first rate dinner for a total of about $45.

Attentive service from the owner who recommended a quality wine and delivered a great meal. Whole steamed trout was excellent, as was the steak with mushrooms. Both served with plenty of vegetables (think beans, broccoli and carrots) as well as tasty garlic potatoes. Main meals were both less than 9$, which is amazing value. Highly recommended.

We went here because the place we wanted to go was closed. So glad we happened upon this place. It would have been a shame to leave Banos w/o stopping at this place. The staff was super nice. The food was very reasonably priced especially for portion size. I had the filet with mushrooms wraped in bacon and it was... More

We had just returned from a 3 hr. Horseback ride with mud on our faces and our host could not have been more gracious! The quality and value of the food was exceptional. Amore is #1 on our list!

After reading other reviews on TripAdvisor, we were excited to try this place. We were pretty disappointed. The decor and service was great, but the food was just lacking. We got a sampler appetizer, which was okay. The meatballs were so overcooked, however, they tasted like jerky. I got the trout en papillote for my entree and it was basically... More

Small but nice decorated restaurant in the center of Banos and very clean. Try the Encocado de Camaron (shrimps with coconut). The Owner serves you and is so kind.

Baños has really nice restaurants, but this place blew me away, the sort of food that makes you smile while you eat it. I had a perfectly cooked steak wrapped in not too crisp bacon, with REAL mushrooms and some kind of nougat icecream desert which I'm going back for. The service was amazing, the chef was lovely and made... More

I'm an American that lives in central Ecuador and makes regular trips to Banos. I usually stick to a few of my favorite restaurants, but was thrilled with my experience at the new Amore Lapsio! The owner, Marco, is obviously a well-trained chef and came out to check on us and meet us personally. I had a delicious pesto pasta... More
