We stopped for lunch on a weekday and it was pretty empty. We grabbed a table and asked the server for some recommendations. As expected, she suggested the fish and chips and a couple English pies. We opted for the fish and chips. I had the cod and my husband had the flounder. I asked for their mashed potatoes and... More

We went here for a change of the standard American food. Staff were nice but waited a long time for the food. I ordered the large haddock and it wasn't large at all. My friends had a large Cod that was nearly 2x the size. There is a small "tuck" shop selling some UK foods which was nice too.

I've been going to this restaurant for some time now and up until now everything was fine. I ordered the large cod plate for $10.95. I asked how much for 2 more fish and was told $6.50 each. Rather than pay $13.00 for 2 pieces of fish, I ordered another large cod plate. When they brought me the dinner it... More

Fish was greasy. Chips were awesome. Shepard pie excellent. Small portions. A bit pricey. Service was so-so. No ambiance.

I work in an award winning chip shop in eastern England and the only thing we're missing is booze! But the codfather is also a bar and has a small shop selling English things. Very good chips and mushy peas and also the chocolate milkshake is delicious!

After reading other reviews I was excited to try the fish and chips here. I got the Haddock (upgrade from standard Cod offering). The fish was fresh, the batter was light. However in my estimation it was a bit greasy and bland. The coleslaw was OK. The chips (fries) were average. The service was decent. We probably won't go back.... More

This is a really neat restaurant. The owners have really worked hard to have this a success. In the years we have been dining there, they have almost doubled in size. In addition to the restaurant and bar, there is a small store that sells British food products. The selection is wonderful as they have frozen, packaged and canned foods.... More

We have semi-regular customers, we go out for Friday fish once a month and The Cod Father is our place for over 3 years. Always have had great service, great food, a great time. Tonight was far from a great time, they were busy, they normally are, there was new wait-staff, they seated parties of 2 at tables for 4... More

If you're looking for a great fish and chips, this is the place! Mum & I both had a large portion of true cod, breaded and deep fried to perfection (or baked for lighter fare) with nice crisp chips. Good selection of bottle & tap beers plus they DO know how to pour a Guinness ! My sister had Bangers... More
