Normally when at Pappadeaux we just each appetizers as we like them so well. This time we tried the cajun shrimp and grits. They were some of the best I have ever had. Add an excellent dessert and a great meal in a great setting.

I was surprised by the number of large parties at the restaurant. Had the filet mignon. It was good and tender, but not worth the $38 price tag. The mashed potatoes were very lumpy. My table mates raved about the Salmon Alexander. We were in a group of 6 so maybe that is why service was slow.

Great food, very nice atmosphere, and large dining room. They are always busy though so call ahead and make a reservation if you don't want to wait 30-60 minutes for a table. Try the fried alligator, pick a live lobster from the tank, and save room for dessert! Full bar available with lots of great cocktails.

Bartender, Erin, made our experience a great one. She managed to mix Blueberry Moscow Mules, Grey Goose Martinis, and pour us our wine selection with a smile and speed. We sat at the bar as we came for happy hour. She got us our raw oysters, two kinds, with that great mignonette dipping sauce. The blackened crab and shrimp seafood... More

I have relatives in Phoenix and we try to go to this restaurant whenever we visit. They have great seafood. They do have a few steak dishes and chicken dishes but the bulk of their menu is fish and seafood and they do it very well. I have had the whole lobster in the past and it was great. We... More

Went to Pappadeux with friends for my first visit. I enjoyed the food very much (I had the shrimp and grits), but the service was poor at best. The waiter asked if we wanted bread and butter and then never brought any. No refills on drinks without getting someone's attention and asking. One person in our party ordered crab meat... More

This is a meal that I have been splitting with my wife for years. At one time I could eat the smaller version (seafood platter) by myself, now we're doing good to finish this one. We always substitute the fries for dirty rice (no charge). Best bargain on the menu.

Yes I said it, they serve it up right here! They have a very extensive menu on the best of fish, shellfish and items you won't find anywhere else! Their fish and seafood is flown in daily so you get the best and very freshest of fish. My favorite is the sea bass and fried alligator was yum. They have... More

Our party of four made a stop at Pappadeaux while in the valley. We had been to the one in Albuquerque and friends had been here many times, so we had to try it. We came in just as dinner was starting and the dinning room was empty with just a few people at the bar. We sat at the... More

I You might have to wait a little bit but its worth it. The service was quick and the food was good. If you have a large group I would call ahead and make reservations.
