We used to frequent this restaurant often. It isn't as good as it used to be. More than quality fresh ingredients, it seems more like quantity. It tastes like everything is premade.

Busy lunch stop with a good size menu. We split a Mexican pizza. It was delicious with a thin crust, guacamole, tomato and cheese. Ordered ours stuffed with chicken. The chicken was moist and tasty. The small was perfect for two! Served with a pitcher of ice water and chips with salsa. I thought of having a margarita but they... More

My wife and I stopped by on a Monday - Happy hour all day long! Staff was very helpful and attentive. Food was delicious. Large portions. Be prepared to take some home.... Great location across from a shopping center. Easy access from the street. Adequate parking. Seemed like a popular spot. Would definitely return.

Food was almost cold, barely warm. The refried beans were more like bean soup and nasty! Everything was gooey. Don't know what was up with them that day so we just left without eating much. Staff was fine and service was average. I guess we came on an off day or, at least, I hope they don't always serve "cold... More

They changed the menu. The new menu emphasizes refried beans and gooey cheese. Portions are big. The chips are from a bag. The salsa is OK - served in a jug. The place was crowded on a friday night but no wait to get in. The parking lot was full and had to park a block away. Margaritas come in... More

We dine at Ajo Al's at least once weekly and the food is always consistently good. Nice atmosphere, friendly and accommodating servers. There is a small outdoor patio. The chips are served warm with endless refills and salsa is fresh and flavorful! Good menu offerings with even a few items for the non Mexican food diner. The chicken fajitas are... More

We go here every 6 weeks or so. I love the queso dip for a starter and my favorite item here is the chimichanga made with machaca beef. It is not a fancy place but good food and friendly service.

The best little Mexican restaurant in Scottsdale. Friendly staff and consistently good food. Endless chips & salsa served warm and crispy. Happy Hour all day long on Mondays. You won't be disappointed. Highly recommend!
