A unique and wonderful dining experience in North Scottsdale. Buffalo Mozzarella is flown in from Italy. They source as much local produce as possible and remove from the menu if it is unavailable. The have ricotta gnocchi that is simply out of this world. Their Italian sausage is delightful! The atmosphere is fabulous and the waitstaff professional. A little pricey,... More

Unbelievable food but pricey! We had the Wood Grilled Octopus which was simply divine. A hearty yet tender piece of Octopus. the Polpettini, amazingly light and refreshing meatballs, and the Sicilian Eggplant Cakes to start. For dinner we had the Orecchiette and the Ricotta Gnocchi both all homemade and in amazing sauces! We even brought home two desserts which where... More

Incredible Italian menu and one of the most beautiful restaurants I've ever seen. Many dining rooms and patios. Feels like a historic Tuscan estate. Jazz in the bar on weekends also.

The decor and location are very nice and what is expected in the desert southwest. The food selection was fine and the sea bass was just above average. It was a corporate event and for that Sassi was a good choice.

Dinner on a cool, rainy night (yes, even in Phoenix!) beside the fireplace was perfect!. Tom, our waiter, was extremely knowledgable and attentive. Beef short rib and bone-in veal chop were excellent with their own gnocchi. Grilled octopus is a must-try as an appetizer. Not a cheap night but well worth it.

Took family of four for early dinner. Try the mixed nuts and the Bermuda Triangle Cheese Selection from the appetizers to start at the bar. Then move to your table and be sure to try the Caprese Salad and/or prosciutto. Then any 2 pasta dishes. My family opted for the two vegetarian options -- gnocchi was the winner. We skipped... More

Such a lovely night. We took all the recommendations of our waiter...he was spot on. Octopus, caprese salad, red snapper, sea bass. The wine recommendation was lovely. Even the breads and desserts. And yes... I said octopus. Just try it. Amazing.

Book sunset on the patio for a drink, then have dinner which is wonderful. Have been on three separate occasions and enjoyed each visit. The wait staff is attentive and helpful. Choose meals wisely, a shared appetizer, one dish and perhaps desert is sufficient for two people. Hearty eaters may wish more, then suggest two appetizers. The wine selection is... More

Sassi is a very romantic Italian restaurant with exceptional food and service. Our waiter, Simon, recommended a great white wine and our entrees and desserts were superb!

We had our company Christmas party here. The view of the city from the lawn is beautiful which is where we had are social before dinner. I had salmon and prime rib, both were excellent.
